How many DVC owners?

Does anyone know how many DVC owners there are in total? Or is this a Disney info not given out?

We received the March 2001 Multi-Site Public Offering Statement and it lists membership as follows:

VWL: 689
OKW: 27,320
BWV: 19,546
VB: 3,106
HH: 3,125

Obviously the numbers for VWL, VB and HH have grown some since this was printed.

I knew reading the whole thing on the plane ride home would come in handy some day!

I'll also bet that those numbers reflect the number of completed contracts, and would have to be adjusted some for people with more than one 'home resort' or who have multiple use years.

hi: i attended a member meeting during our stay the first week of may. the guide said they'd just topped the 55,000 mark-it was one of the trivia questions.

Ditto. I was told 55,000 DVC members as of the first week of May.
