I'm formerly a Connecticut girl. Went to Woodstock Academy, and I've attended the Woodstock Fair for 25 of the last 41 years. It's such pretty country there!

Shout out to Simbas's Mom, we have posted to each other before, as all 3 of our kids attended Woodstock Academy. And during the Fair "Always Labor Day Weekend" we can hear the roosters in the am, we're that close to the Fairgrounds. This Labor Day I think all of my adult kids will be ticket takers!

I grew up in Putnam and moved to Brooklyn, CT with my wife 8 years ago.

We live in Putnam! <Craftymouse waves to her neighbors. > I was born in Stamford, spent a few years out of CT and then settled in Putnam with DH when we were expecting our first (DD16).

We have homeschooled our kids, but DD16 will be starting at QVCC in two weeks, working toward her Engineering Science Associate's. (I wasn't ready to send her away to college at 16...she'll do that in a couple of years.) We love this area of the state!

Simba'sMom, the Woodstock Fair is the weekend after next...will you be there? I'm guessing that dgaston will be.

I wish I was going to the Fair-my parents sent me a Premium book today, trying to "entice"me. But unfortunately, the cost of a flight,etc.makes it not possible this year. But anyone who's going, have a "World's Best Hot Fudge Sundae" (booth by the go-karts)for me, please.

We just signed our papers last week for AKV! I am so happy to finally get my wish granted of being a DVC owner. I'm in Windsor Locks. My parents are owners at SSR, and they are in Windsor Locks as well.

Congratulations on joining the DVC. Yesterday, a friend of mine called me from WDW to ask me if after 13 years in the DVC if I still thought it was a good deal. Anyway, she and her new husband just joined the DVC as AKV as well.

DW grew up in Thompson and as a teenager used to work at the Woodstock Fair putting kids on the elephant ride.

If we were going I'd have one for you...but we won't be. I always give my kids the choice between the Brooklyn Fair, the Woodstock Fair and the Big E. They always choose the Big E and I have to admit that I'm glad they do. I know that there are lots of Woodstock Fair lovers around here, but I don't like it.

Of course this year we're going to Disneyland at the end of September so we're skipping fairs altogether. Somehow I think I'll manage to survive. I promise to have something yummy for you in DL instead! Deal?
