According to the Vacation Magic I received today, there are "nearly" 90,000!
That sure is alot of neighbors!!

If you purchased all your contracts through Disney as add-on's to an original contract, then all 6 of your contracts have the same number with different suffixes, and you count as one single member. If however if you purchased them from resales, and therefore all 6 contracts each have their own blue card with their own fully unique number, then you are probably being counted as 6 members. I believe they were also trying to actually count the memberships by unique mailing addresses too, but don't know where that stands. If they got that system working fully, then you are being counted as a single member.

To 'own' your own resort you can start with a one-B/R unit at OKW. It'll run you 10,358 points to have that villa for every day of the year 2005. (It varies slightly from year to year due to the impact weekend/weekday days fall within a given Disney season) For 2005 an OKW 1-B/R would take 10,311 points for the year. For 2007 10,315 points, for 2008 10,341 points, for 2009 10,311 points again, and for 2010 you would need 10,358 points.

If you want the Grand Villa at BWV for the full year 2005, you'll need 36,336 points.

With the limits imposed of max 5000 points you can only live DVC for less than 6 months, so you couldnt call disney your residence for the year. . Yes, we asked our guide when we were buying if we could buy enough points to live there, and they said NO.

Let's see, 10,000 points at $80 a point....well that's more than I can afford, LOL. For $800,000, I don't think I will be buying a timeshare that would have no equity at the end. Besides, $40,000 in maintenance fees per year would be a little more than I would want to pay to rent a place I own, LOL!

we use them about 90% of the time..........we have been to WDW 58 times since 90............and we will be on trip 59 on the 16th..........we talke alot of friends and family and my kids friends with us and we really started to use the points outside disney about 5 yrs ago and it is just the best way to go..........we vacation about 6-8 weeks a yr and it has really made our lives as a family alot better.............

you will be shocked at the changes..........i just looked at my 1990 epcot pix and it does not even look close to the 2004 version..........my favorite addition was the leave a legacy..........i have 12 pix on that wall and my kids love going back there and seeing how they looked.........plus they finally noticed that i always wear something crazy on my head just for the photo so they can all laugh and remember that particular trip and what we all did

Can you imagine, it would cost over $3 million to buy the points, $160,000+ per year in maintenance fees, and you would need to set your alarm for 7:59am every day MS is open to "extend" your reservation 11 months from now.
