How many drops on the Tower of Terror?!

The weird thing is, I hate roller coasters, yet I absolutely adore ToT. o.o;

By the way, I was all set to ride TOT until I read this thread! Now I'm shakin' in my boots and doubting I'll try it. Am interested in the "chicken exit", so I can at least see the pre-show -- but what if I can't get out?!? It is the Tower of Terror, after all!!!

Thaks for the info everyone! Sadly I don't think ToT is going to be a ride for me, though I think the idea of getting a different ride each time must be a wonderful bonus, IF you can ride it with no ill effects!!! I just doubt my stomach could hack more than 3 drops. Perhaps I should nab one of those airline sick bags on my flight over.....and just run the risk of looking very silly!!!

So am I the only one who can't tell which direction I am going by the middle of the ride? I lost all sense of up and down. I know at one point I looked down and my sunglasses were hovering in front of my chest instead of hanging on the strap, so we must have been going down, right? DS8 was all about this ride until we actually went on it. He HATED it and was petrified the whole time. I don't know how many times we dropped, but I thought it was pretty fun. I agree with everyone who said the anticipation is worse than the drops!
