How many doorknobs...

Well, I just took a pleasant stroll through my house counting doorknobs. There's a few minutes of my life gone forever.

Yeah, it starts out innocent enough. First you count your televisions, then you find yourself wandering about counting door knobs/hanldles.
Next thng you know you are coutning light bulbs, even making notes on the wattage, then you find yourself counting phone jacks, now you are wondering how many spices you have in case the need for the answer comes up.
You wake up one day to realize that your family has come to the conclusion your nuts and has moved out. Job? What Job? You were to pre-occupied with the aforementioned and have been replaced.
So basically Paige, be carefull!! We have all seen the aftermath of theses posts and lets just agree it ain't pretty

I have 31 regular doors with doorknobs inside and out, plus a set of closet doors that only have knobs on one side, so that's 64 knobs. No wonder it takes me forever to wipe down the knobs with Clorox wipes during flu and cold season. And no, I'm not a germaphobe, but we did have the flu go through our house last winter and I'd like to limit that sort of thing.

Another fun thing to do (yes, I'm strange this way ) is to count the number of lightbulbs. I did that as a contest for my kids one year and the child who came closest got a cash prize. Of course I had to count them all up first and I couldn't believe how many lightbulbs there were (I know I posted about it at the time). We counted all lightbulbs--in the fridges, dryer, microwave, etc, etc.

A doorknob is a doorknob. Try explaining to the doorknob in your walk-in closet that it doesn't rate up there with your front door. I mean really!!!

Can we say OCD? I have counted many things more than once in my house tiles, windows, doors. OK..enough of that! Knobs would be a first but...I have 54.

A doorknob is a doorknob. Try explaining to the doorknob in your walk-in closet that it doesn't rate up there with your front door. I mean really!!!

only six doors in my house... oh wait there are two more in the basement... it's friggin HUGE. so thats eight... 16 knobs.

Dang it, now I feel like watching Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I tried to name our oldest girl Eglentine but my DH wouldn't go for it.

I have 32 knobs I don't think I have ever, nor would I ever type that sentence I want to know what you are going to do with this information?
