Does anyone else find that they need far less time at Disney when travelling solo? When I go with my family, we always allot about 10-12 days, since we do special meals, dinner shows, etc. However, when I go solo, it's basically theme park commando, which I love as well. However, I find that in about 6 days, I've done everything, at least once, and then some.

Anyone else feel this way?

Oh yeah, I feel that way.

Basically, less time having to wait for someone who isn't enthusiastic about the trip. And less time trying to decide what attraction to do next.

I WISH I had more time than 5 days, but I certainly think I can get a lot more done in that time without the family tagging along.

I am going on my first solo trip in Dec (7,8,9) arriving at 9:30 am on the 7th and departing at 7pm on the 9th. I would NEVER do this short of trip with my kids. Sleeping is just an option on this trip! :Pinkbounc

I agree. When you're on your own, you usually have a plan in mind and with nobody tagging along, it's easy to get it done - at least that's the way I find it. Also the shorter solo trips allow me to experience more trips!!!

So Dan, does this mean there's a solo trip in the making?? :smooth:

Maybe. My wife gave me the option to go in May when she goes to Maine. However, I'm seriously considering going to Disneyland, as I've never been.

I agree that going to WDW solo and not doing anything special I can "do everything" in 4 days. I have gone for 7-8 days and taken tours or gone to the outlet mall. I have been to Universal once.

As a side note, I grew up close to Disneyland and even with CA Adventure you will see everything in 2 days if going solo If going on a less busy day you can almost do it in one. I went in May with 5 adults, 4 kids and my mom in a wheelchair for 3 days. We got it all in and we rode California Screaming about 8 times!!!!

So if going solo for a week (to So Cal) I would plan on including Knotts Berry Farm or going to the beach there is lots to do in the area
