We are a family of 4. Kids are boy(4) and girl(6)

If we want to get the most out of the parks, how many days do we need at each?

I assume Epcot requires 2 days (one for world showcase, and 1 for the front half)

How about the others?

This is asked pretty frequently. I believe somebody else with kids the same ages as yours asked it yesterday... check through the forum for it if you want more input.

If you're asking this to determine how many days to plan for a Disney vacation, here's my advice:

2 days at Magic Kingdom
2 days at Epcot
1.5 days at Animal Kingdom
1.5 days at Hollywood Studios
2 days of rest, broken into half-day chunks and taken at regular intervals.

In addition, you should plan on taking a midday break when you're at the parks that are open for more than 8 hours on a given day, especially if you're going during peak seasons or when it's really hot out (June - September).

We have been to Dis the last three years. Kids are now 9, 6 and 3. Here is my opinion:

2 days at Magic Kingdom. There is a lot to see here for your kids ages and 1 day simply is not enough time.

1-2 days at Epcot. I say 1 if any of your kids are under 40 inches. If they are that rules our Soarin and Test Track unless you do child swap. Also doing the countries is not always fun for kids. We went here the first year with everyone tired. ( Not a good idea)

1.5 Days at Hollywood Studios

1-2 Days at Animal Kingdom.

I would agree on the breaks. So many times I see kids and parents completely wiped out and yelling and crying etc... Be realistic. If this is your first time going you are not going to see everthing there is to see. Hope this helps.

I have 2 kids ages 12 and 7...we always do:

2 days at Magic Kingdom
1 day at Epcot
1 day at Animal Kingdom
1 day at MGM (yes I still call it that LOL :rolleyes1 )

And we don't always go to AK and MGM, some trips we will skip 1 or the other.

We do 2 days MK, 2 days EP, 1 day DHS and I would probably skip AK next time, but that is also 1 day. I would rather spend the extra time at MK.

I think the # of days also depends on the children. We skip all the big rides because of the height restrictions. And we do more rides than shows, since the kids like the rides more.
