How many days in WDW vs USO?

Hi all,
We are taking DS13 and DS10 to WDW and USO early April. Both kids and parents are HUGE HP fans, and they are less into the Disney world.
We have 9.5 days. One will be dedicated to Kennedy Space Center. Im also assuming out first day another will probably be soent in Jet lag haze, so no parks. That leaves 7.5 days.

I am currently thinking of 4 days WDW, one per parj, and 3.5 for USO, especially considering out tickets include Typhoon Lagoon (some sort of promotion). Does this make sense? We will have the express pass for USO as were staying at the Royal Pacific.

What do you think? Makes sense?

Thank you in advance

Do you mean Volcano Bay (and not Typhoon Lagoon) ? If so, and you plan to go there one day, the plan seems fine. If not, I would do 2 days at USO and the rest at WDW IF you plan on having park hopper added on. If you want to save on that, which is not unreasonable, I would keep the current plan, but I find that after 2 days at USO, I‘ve done what I wanted to and the extra day is just repeating things and not of great importance.

I like 3 park days for Universal (4if doing Volcano Bay). With Express Passes and that much time, you don’t have to be a park warrior there open to close. You can take an afternoon break in the hotel pool and relax. It’s a nice way to balance an otherwise very busy trip.

It is a good plan!

Spending 3.5 days at Universal will be ideal, especially with EP. Being Potter fans you`ll have plenty of time to explore properly...and maybe even fit in some resort time…... :wave2:

We just did 4.5 days at WDW and 3.5 days at USO.

We did a trip in November trip with our 13 and 10 year olds and they absolutely loved it. We still love WDW but now prefer US for a more laid back vacation. I think 3.5 days sounds reasonable, especially with EPs. We spent 6 days in the parks but it was at a *very* leisurely pace. We were there during a slow time and, while we rope dropped, after Hagrid's we just kind of went where we wanted and would ride things over and over if there was no wait (which happened a lot). We tended to go back to the resort around 2 pm and would hit VB or head out to I Drive for dinner. We still didn't ride everything but felt it was one of the best vacations we've been on.

Thank you everyone!
I decided to add another half a day in WDW (70$ for the 4 of us), and skip Epcot altogether so we have 4.5 days for 3 parks.

I know some may argue with me, but my kids have been to the real London, Italy, France etc, we live in Israel and are stopping in Germany on the way home. So Japan, Canada and Norway will just have to wait till we get there for real as well 😁

Any way thanks again.

I hear you. My kids are pretty well traveled and have no interest in Epcot. They'd stay at Harry Potter land for days, however! In your shoes, I would consider doing Universal after WDW since Universal is likely to be a hit. Probably more relaxing for you, too.

This is exactly what we're doing!
Thank you, I just looooove planning trips!
