How many days about would you say it takes to complete universal and islands of adventure? We will be going the week of Sept 11, 2006. We have a wish child so he may or may not be able to go ahead of the line. Any info would be great.

Are you staying onsite? If so, then a day or two. If you're not staying onsite, at least 2 days..... IMHO....

With the express pass you could do each park in one day and take in everything. This comes with staying onsite but you can purchase express passes at the park. Even without express passes, you could do a lot in 2 days. Last week I didn't see any line waits more than 30 min.

You won't need to purchase express if you are with Make a Wish. You will have a Gold Gap which is better than front of the line.

I just wanted to add that I hope your visit to US and IOA is fantastic for your family. if you have any questions the MAW foundation can't answer, you can find the answers here.

We went in September around the 10th-11th (cant remember exactly) last year and it was very quiet and we did not need express pass. Longest queue was 15 mins for jaws and ET. Walked straight on to the biggies like Men IN Black and The Mummy. We did both parks in one day, although not seeing everything but all the things we really wanted to do! ITs a great time of year to visit! Hope you have a great trip!!

My cousin took a MAW trip with last month. The cottages were full, and they got to choose any hotel they wanted!

They got a lot of dirty looks, I guess, from people who were waiting in lines. They were about to get on something popular and her husband said, "Let's see how many people we piss off there!" :)

If you have questions from a Mom perspective, I'd be happy to ask her and sure she'd be happy to help.

Have a great trip!

This question comes up a lot. It's not so much as to how long it takes to visit the parks, but rather how much time you want to stay (or can afford) at the resort. Some people can go commando mode and visit both parks in 1 day doing only the thrill rides. Others can spend an entire week hanging out at the pool, and relaxing without getting bored.

3 days is what most recommend, one at each park, and the last day for favorites before leaving.

And you don't have to visit only 1 park each day. You can visit one in the morning, and then one in the late afternoon. The only thing is, in September, the hours will be cut back, so the parks will close around 6pm. But you can still walk back and forth between them.

We had 4 days there and while I said earlier you could do it in 2 days, it was nice to have the leisure time. We loved hanging out at the pool and don't forget City Walk, so many shops and restaurants. Robvia is right, it depends if you want to tear through the parks or take your time.
