We are planning a quick trip to Sea World, July 18-20. We are trying to decide if we want the kids free with length of stay passes, or if we want the free one day passes offered to us by a friend who works for the company. Will we want more than one day in Sea World? The difference is only $100 so money isn't the issue. Just whether or not we'll really go to the park on Friday, Saturday and part of Sunday before we leave.

I haven't been to Sea World since 2004 so I have no clue how much time we'll need.

We just got back last week. We had Orlando Flextickets. We much preferred visiting SeaWorld for a few hours each day instead of trying to cram all the shows into 1 day. You can see the park in 1 day, but you will miss some of the shows that way.

If your children have never been, then I would suggest at least two days. We also just got back last week. Too much to do in just one day. :goodvibes

I think you could do most in one day. You may miss a couple of things but nothing major..

We are doing 1 1/2 days.
I figure it'll be hot since we are going in July and we'll be taking a long mid-day break on the full day so we'll need the extra half day to make up for what we miss.

I think you will need more than one day since Seaworld has different night shows during summer.

We really love the Sea Lions at night, it is hilarious, plus there is also Shamu Rocks in the evening.

Okay, so tell me if you think this plan will work. We are driving up early Saturday morning (July 19). We only live 3 hours away. We will check into the hotel. If our room is ready we will get settled. If it isn't, we'll get our passes and head to the park for a few hours until our room is ready. We'll take a break at the room and go back for the nighttime activities.

Sunday we'll spend a majority of the day at the park. I'll probably head back to the hotel midday with my 3 year old while dh and the 7 year old stay and have fun. We'll meet up later in the day. Oh, and we're planning on doing the Elmo breakfast that morning.

Monday, pack up and hit any shows we've missed. Maybe feed the dolphins one last time.

Does that sound right?

I would go straight to Seaworld in the morning. Make sure you get the map w/ the show schedules. Catch some shows or rides until about noon-2pm, have lunch. After lunch you should be able to check in the hotel, relax. Return at night for the night shows.

Next day, do the breakfast, see the show you missed the day before or redo some of your favorite shows/rides.

I would go to the rides or see the animal exihibits when either the shamu, sea lion or blue horizon is going on. That is when the lines are shortest, especially Kraken and Atlantis.

In the last yr SW build a nice little area for little kids.

The shows in order of our preference:
1. Clyde and Seymore, Sea Lions at night
2. Believe, Blue Horizon, Shamu Rocks
3. Odyssey, Pets Ahoy

We haven't seen the new Sesame Street show.

I think two days will be plenty to do everything at leisurely pace and enjoy the park. If you like it, return Monday for the encore.

Hope you have fun!
