How many days do you usually go for?

3 in the offseason

5 or 6 in summer months our 5 and 6 days are half a days when coming in and leaving

3 days is the bare minimum that I like. I've done 2 and 1 day trips but they leave me so drained because of the drive there and back 5 days is what I strive for.

We've only gone in the off season. We generally do 3 days. Well, 2.5 days since we get to the parks around lunch time on day 1.

We did 5 days once and I was utterly exhausted by the time we got home from both the trip and the teenagers.

Our next trip is 4 days. The one after is also 4 days.

Between the 4 days driving and the park we are always exhausted but it is a good exhaustion.

Thank you for asking this question, I've been wondering about this myself. It's nice to see what everyone does and how they feel about the amount of time they get. It's been a tad over 20 years since I've been to Disneyland, but I remember we were there for 3 days. (at that time I didn't even know what DL was, so I never felt like I missed out on anything because it was all brand new to me!) I'm taking my family in September, and we will have 4 full days at the park. (won't be doing the park the day we arrive or the day we leave) We will have to take breaks during the day since we will have young children with us, so I'm hoping 4 days will be enough to enjoy ourselves without feeling too rushed.

The ideal amount used to be 3 days for us. Last year we did 4 full days and this year we are doing 5. Plus we will go the afternoon we arrive adding about 1/2 day to the 5. And with Carsland opening next year- definately need 5 days again. This trip I hope to have time to look around DTD more. The past several years I haven't gotten to "shop" as much as I would have liked. That's what happens when you are the only female in the family. ;)

Heads up... City Stroller Rentals is a great outside stroller service. especially if you are taking breaks throught out the day.. You can not take the Disney Strollers out of the park and they dooo sell out!!

Will be running with you!! Woo Hoo can not wait.. I love running through Disney

I like 5. Of course with 5 days I can get to try more food. Take the extra time to wait for front seats on screemin or the nose or tail of the monorail. Have the flexibility to wait in prime spots to watch parades or F!. And spend more time browsing through the shops and DTD.

We also drive, but do one long day on both ends of a five day. Between all the fun, we like to swim at the hotel and dine/eat our butts off, so 5 days feels perfect for us.

We are fortunate to be able to do 10-11, twice a year. We go Sat or Sun morning and then leave two Tuesdays later in the late afternoon. That way I only miss one week of work (since I only work W/TH/F 13 hours each). It never gets boring and I love not feeling pressured to "max out" each day there. If we go for 2-3 hours and then never go back that day, it's fine. We also take a day to go to Legoland and another for Universal.

We are lucky to have three full days using the military park hopper tickets. I'm thinking three will be okay since our group is 2 Grands in their 60's , one younger couple in 20's, (one will be 6 mos pregnant.) and an almost 5 year old.

We went for 5 days. It was a great amount of time because our boys are so young and need nap time. If we were only there for 2 or 3 days I think we wouldn't have seen everything we wanted to or would have pushed them to miss nap so we could get everything in.

I went for a 3 day weekend and it was so fun, I cant imagine going for more than 5 days!

We prefer 5, but have done 3. We surprised our kids on Memorial Day one year. We woke them up and asked them if they wanted to go to Disneyland! Our (now) DS 9 asked us if it was "for real"! He thought we were joking! :lmao:

We loved the time we were there, but have decided we like the extra days. DH has a generous vacation pkg. with his work, so we can fit in some extra days.

We like to stay for 8-9 days. We just booked a trip in January for 8 nights. We like to relax and take things slow. We're never in a hurry to do anything and have lots of time to take in the entertainment (especially the Miner 49ers!) We also like to use it as a home base for visiting DH's family. They are scattered throughout the state, so instead of spending our 1 week of family vacation driving all over the state, we tell them when we'll be there and see who comes to visit!

Disneyland is usually our big family vacation and so we go 5+days.. This time we are going for 9 days.. Spending the weekend away from the park and going sight seeing, shopping and spending time on the beach!
