We're trying to decide how long to stay at Disney for. We usually do 7 days and get everything done plus are able to do the favorite things a couple times. We are thinking of 10 days this time, but is that too long? We LOVE being at Disney but the crowds can get to you. How long does everybody usually stay for?

This is our first "family" vacation and first disney trip for me. We are staying 7 days to hopefully enjoy as much as possible.

10 days is a perfect fit for us - it gives us a bit of down time between days at the parks and makes our trip a bit more relaxing and laid back. If you opt for AP's (you should break even in cost if you are planning on going to the parks for 8 days) with AP's you can do half days at the parks without feeling you aren't getting your money's worth - and leave when the crowds start to get to you.

10 days is perfect for us but we can't always get away for that long. 7 is very managable. We are taking a 5 night trip in October and we are having a hard time fitting everything in. I would say the best is between 7-10 days.

Usually 10, but now that we have discovered Disney's Vero Beach resort..we allow some nights there.

This year it will be 7 nights at WDW and 4 at vero.

My fiance and I go for 11 days in July and 5 in December. I love to be in WDW and could probably stay for 30 days. If you go for a longer period of time, you don't get burned out because of crowds since you can take your time. You aren't rushing aorund trying to see everything.

We went for 7 last year, but are thinking of more next time. We want more time to relax and dawdle. :)

We go for 7 nights and find it's not enough. We always wish we had at least 1 or 2 more days, and that's JUST Disney, nothing else in Orlando.

We stayed 7 nights last summer on the FTP and found the time to be too short. We're going for 10 days this trip and I bought the AP for the room discount. Now I want to plan a trip for Dec. to see the decorations, but it wont be for that long.

For long trips, we stay 8 nights with 5 says at WDW and 2 at Universal. Short trips we stay four nights with two days at WDW and 1 at Universal.

I think it depends on how many times you've gone. We've been there about seven times, so know, pretty much, what we want to see and do. We usually go six nights, five days, with our arrival in the late morning, early afternoon and our departure usually the last flight out...around 8:30 - 9:00pm. We (at the time, DD 15, DS 13, DH and myself) went several years ago at Easter, for 11 days. It was a few days too long, for us...that "family togetherness" only goes so far! :D Now that my kids are older...DD is now 23 and DS is 21, they would rather stay home  so DH and I go, which, BTW, is GREAT! We're all going, next month, for the first time in five years....I'll let you all know how it went!

Our minimum stay is 4-5 nights. That's after 25+ years of visits when we have stayed 7 nights. Time is the most precious commodity at WDW:earsboy:

We'll only be there for 6 days this year, but that's because we are pulling our kids out of school to go. Don't want to make it any longer.

We did 8 days our first trip and can only sneak in 6 days this trip. I am sure we won't be able to do everything, but we'll be back for more. If we were able to take more time and if we had more money, I think we would stay longer. Since we only get 4-5 days in the park, we don't have any time to relax, a longer trip would allow us to do that.

We try to go atleast 9 days. We try to leave on a Fri night or Sat morning stay that weekend, the week and the following weekend. This trip we are staying 2 weeks!! Going with family that has never been and also going in the summer this time.
I have been a couple of times in Dec though that was just a quick trip--4 days.

Normally we go for 7 nights, 8 days, but are debating on making it longer if possible this next time since its our honeymoon. Now if our schedules would just cooroperate ;)

We stay from 7 to 10 days . When we stay 10 there is much more downtime to enjoy the hotel. We stay in Universal 4 to 6 days depending on what other parks we are seeing like Seaworld. After 2 weeks we have had a long enough vacation and are all ready to go home.It all depends on how much quiet time you want.

we do not need to rush, we spend a few hours in the parks in the mornings, then pool / water park in the afternoon, and back to the parks in the evenings...
