How many days do you stay for?

We usually drive, so 6 days is all we can manage at a time. The rest of our 10 day trip is spent driving there and home. I am flying for the first time in Dec. But, unfortunately, not getting to enjoy a longer stay as we want to be home for Christmas. I am still getting my 6 days at the parks though so I can't complain. Especially since I will finally get to see all the Christmas decorations. Each time I wish it were more and I know this trip will be even worse. I know there will simply be sooooo much to see with all the Christmas specials that 6 days will simply not be enough. So if you can manage to be there 10 days, I say go for it.

We drive 28 hours down, stay 12-13 nights and drive 28 hours home. We like to hit all the parks a couple of times and have time to relax at FW and enjoy there facilities. We have done 8 days before, but felt to rushed.

We just came back from 10 nights at the Poly and it still wasn't long enough. We do anywhere from 9 nights to 12 nights twice a year. Now that little DD starts kindergarten we will be taking shorter trips. October will only be 7 nights. I don't know how we will survive! LOL!

Our trips have been getting longer & longer. We started out going for just 4 days  and have added days over the years . Our last trip was 11 days. Enough that we weren't rushed and we got down time. But I don't think we'll ever stay long enough where we would say that was too long.;)

Last time we went for 6 days and it wasn't enough.

This time we are going for 9. Hopefully it will be much better.

Seems like 10 days is the magic number of days the majority of posters.

10 days gives us time to everything we want to do, and still have time for relaxing.
We take 2 days to drive down, 10 days at FW, and 2 days to drive back.

We go yearly and 8-10 days works the best for us.

We have always gone for 7 days in the past. This year we are going for 8nights/9days, and I am still having a hard time fitting everything in. :teeth:

We plan to do Universal as well with the 9 days, whereas with the 7 days we just stick to Disney.

I HAVE 7 DAYS TO GO!!!!
:jumping1: :jumping1:

Our last two trips have been 7-8 days, but all of my earlier trips with my Nonnie and sisters had been 4-5.
I love the 7 days b/c we can do everything, including a water park, and go back and do our favorites. DH isn't thrilled about 7 days and would rather stay for 5.

We have always done 7 nights/8 days. I think that is a good amount of time, but we don't get a whole lot of time to rest and always feel like we need another day or two. We always have a hard time squeezing in the water parks and things like that. I think 10 days would be perfect, because you could take things slower.

We usually go 8 nights/9 days. This summer our trip wil be 6 nights/7 days but we also have a Christmas trip planned, 8 nights/9 days. Our summer tri is going to be a more relaxed pace, especially since another trip is on the books. Plan on doing a water park this summer for the first time. Can't wait!!

When I was a kid, we always took 14 days, but that's only because we drove down from Massachusetts and would take our time. Now that we fly, we always take 7 days.

BF and I are going 8 nights, so 7 full days in the parks.

I've worked on our touring schedule for a week, and just this morning found plan that will let us "do it all" without running ourselves ragged. But we don't have kids to drag...err...bring along so we can move much faster in the parks. If I had kids, I'd to 10 full days, meaning 11 nights if at all possible.

Last year we planned on doing 3 days, and ended up doing 6. We still didn't get to see everything we wanted to. I think you are on the right track with 10 days!

The last three years I have gone 14 days each trip and am planning another 14 day trip this September. It's my total relaxation time and I do alot of that, in addition to the parks. I do not like to fly and figure if I have to go across country (from California), I am going to stay there awhile.

I try to do at least one really special thing each time. I have been on several of the tours and last September I went to the Pin Event (even though I'm not really into pin collecting). This year I want to go to the Halloween Party.

last trip in 2002 we stayed for 7 days. take away 1-1/2 days for traveling and that really can make your trip veer into the commando type of trip. i really had a tough time and really cant enjoy a vacation that way.

this time we have planned a 10 day trip and have planned everything much better. the info on the Dis has been a Godsend. we have PS's done, illuminations one night, e-night, and even planned a day at discovery cove.

10 days seems like a good amount of time for this vacation.. now next time ;) ;)

:D

I usually stay about 7 or 8 days. I stayed 12 days in 2002 and it still wasn't enough for me, but I could see where it might be for some. I would like to stay 10-12 days, or even more, from now on when I go, but I don't know how realistic that option may be.

Our normal spring break trip (every other year) is a Saturday arrival with a Monday departure, for 9 nights. I always think we will have lots of down time, but it never happens and we always feel we are leaving too soon. For trips with my husband and/or friends at off times, I want to have at least four full days, one for each park. Again, we never get to do all we want to.

I think 8 nights/9 days getting in Saturday morning and leaving the following Sunday makes a nice trip! :earsboy:

I've been there as long as 15 days, and as short as 5. I love 9-10 days there. Gives me a little time to relax. :cloud9:
