How many days do you need to do the 4 disney parks (Epcot, MK, AK, MGM)? For us, AK is 1/2 a day, Epcot is 1 1/2 days, MGM is 1 day, and MK about 1 day, any days left we just pick what we would like to do again and usually we start off at MK and once it gets crowded we hit another park (usually MGM for the rides), and like to end the night at MK again.

This year we're doing:

Day 1: MK morning - arrive for opening, lunch at Crystal Palace at 2pm, leave around 4pm.
Day 2: AK morning - arrive for opening, CS lunch if we're hungry, leave when we're done (around 3pm I hope).
Day 3: MK afternoon/evening - arrive at around 3pm, finish off rides, stay for evening parades (CS evening meal if we're hungry).
Day 4: Sea World
Day 5: Typhoon Lagoon - full day (weather permitting!)
Day 6: MGM afternoon/evening - arrive at around 12noon, fantasmic dinner package at Mama Melrose at 5pm followed by the Fantasmic show.
Day 7: Spare Day - whatever we liked best!

Depends on time of year, what you want to do, and what you're looking at...

I love Disney for the magic. I can do a park without even doing a ride, but look at all the imagineering so many people tend to forget about....

I need at least 2 days for each park with Epcot about 5 extra visits in the evening, and a lot of Animal Kingdom as this is an Imagineering masterpiece (there is more then just the rides)

Also at least 1 day in Typhoon Lagoon.

my last trip was 15 days and I could have styed even longer....

Here is how we decided to allocate time for our trip in June:

2 days for AK (at the request of my kids who love this park)
2 days for MK
2 days for Epcot (1 for FW and 1 for WS which is a sleep in late day)
1 day for MGM
1 rest day, explore DD

Tuesday, June 6 AK
Wednesday, June 7 Epcot-FW
Thursday, June 8 MGM
Friday, June 9 Epcot-WS (sleep in-short day)
Saturday, June 10 MK
Sunday, June 11 Rest day/DD
Monday, June 12 AK
Tuesday, June 13 MK

For us:

5 days necessary.

A full day at Magic Kingdom

A full day at MGM

A full day at Epcot

An extra day where we do Magic Kingdom in the a.m. and more MGM In the afternoon.

Animal Kingdom is a full day, then we move on to Epcot for an extra evening at the World Showcase.

We don't take days off to rest.

We like to park hop so we split it up into mornings and evenings.

This trip we are doing Epcot 2 mornings 2 evenings, MK 2 mornings 3 evenings, AK 2 mornings 1 evening, Blizzard Beach 1 morning and DS 1 morning and 1 evening.

IMHO, you'll need at least 10 nights. Anything less is just not enough. You'll feel way too rushed, esp w/ children. Oh, and another thing to look at is the time of year. If you go during any of the hot summer months, well frankly you'll get alot less park time as the heat and humidity will wear you down real quick. If you go in the spring or fall (cooler months) you won't feel frantic to get out of the parks and back to the pool or a/c'd room. 10 nights for us as adult only trip was just right. We went twice on 7 nighter's and it just wasn't enough. Never again. More than 10 might be okay for some, but for us it might be overdoing it. That's my .02 cents. :teeth:

Our visits tend to be around 10 nights, this gives us all the time to see the parks at a leisurely pace, revisiting the ones we like ans a day for a water park and one day for resort relaxing, shopping and dining. Any less is rushing and any more, we done it all and will wait for another trip.

We don't do a park first day unless we have AP's and after a couple of days of parks, we never stay with one park in a day, we hop, its wind down, overload time and a waterpark excursion. Couple more days of parks and a DTD shopping spree, resort pool and wandering and then more parks and we're ready to come home. We can only eat resturant food for so long and loaf and by the time the 11 day rolls around, we thanks Disney for the fun and memories and are ready to come home.

We generally try to do at least 8 nights, 9 days as a minimum. We go in August so we like to do the water parks during the midday heat and then do the theme parks when its cooler at night. Also lets us do the parks at a more relaxed pace. This year we're going for 10 nights/11 days. We're going to go to Islands of Adventures and give that a try for 1 day.

I do agree that you would need a minimum of 7 days if your going to see 4 parks, just so you don't feel rushed and can take your time. I wish I could take 10 days so that I could enjoy a few days just kicking back at the hotel for a whole day or two since its so beautiful (WL). As one poster said, I also could just walk the park and never ride a ride and still enjoy myself. :)

I guess it depends.

In December 2004 we went for 10 day did a lot but not everything we wanted. This past October we did 6 days, hardly enough time to do much. Maybe were tortoise's, there's just too much to do and see.

Tenth visit coming up. Yes I've done most of the rides, but there's always new ones and changes to the older ones. Maybe seen half the shows. There's still lots of nooks and crannies to visit. Plus lot of restaurants to try.

I'm going for 8 days in May and so far my schedule has broken down to:

Arrive in the afternoon: Probably Epcot
Day 2: EMH at Magic Kingdom
Day 3: MGM (Our fave)
Day 4: AK
Day 5: Epcot
Days 6, 7, 8: Whatever the heck we feel like.

I suspect we'll be doing a lot of hopping every day except for MK. We're a bit commando so I suspect we'll have almost all of the attractions done in the first few days and from there will chill and take in the atmosphere.

We normally do about 10 days per trip with a minimum of four days if we just go for a long weekend or something like that.

being in my early 20's with a small income, i've learned to knock out a park a day! i could probably cram animal kingdom & mgm into one day if i had to, assuming it wasn't a craaaaazy time of year. of course, i never have any small children with me. this year DBF and i are doing one park a day with a fifth 'spare' day for whichever park we feel like visiting again (probably MK or Epcot). When I go with my parents in July, we're doing one-a-day then also.

At a minimum, 2 days at MK, 2 days at AK, 1 day at MGM and 1 day at Epcot (with a few evenings at Epcot thrown in as well). I guess that is 6 days at a minimum, with an ideal trip being 9 - 10 days in order to have time to go back and do the best stuff over again.
