An average trip for me is 9 days, which is what I'm doing in September (Sat-Sat, although I'm flying in Friday night, so technically it's 10 days). I like this because it's only a week of vacation, but you can do so much. And going in September, I should be able to slow it down a little and enjoy myself.
I've done as little as 3 days. I wouldn't do that as my primary vacation, but I wanted to go to Disney for the Food and Wine Festival, and it worked for that. I'm doing that again this year, although this time it will be four days. This is plenty for me, especially since I will have just been there, but I'm taking my mom and I'm afraid I won't have time to show here everything I want to. But at least I'm taking her
Last September I was there for 12 nights 13 days, but I had a conference for work for 3 1/2 days in the middle. Because of that I was utterly exhausted by the 11th day. I actually fell asleep on the bus in the middle of the day park hopping. But that's because I pushed myself on the days I was vacationing, and then I had to work from basically 7:30 am to 10:30 every night of the conference (while I wasn't actually 'working' I did have to be with clients constantly, answering questions, schmoozing, that sort of thing).
In Oct of 2004 I'm planning on doing 2 weeks for the birthday that shall not be named hoopla. I'm either going to do a week at WDW then a week on
DCL (Western Carribbean), or just two solid weeks at WDW. Either way that will be my longest trip yet. If I do the straight two weeks, I'm going to do a day at the spa and hopefully the Richard Petty Driving Experience (if I learn to drive a stick in the next 18 months!). I really want to do the cruise, but the issue is whether or not I'll have someone to go with me. I have no problem going alone, but if I'm going to pay the price of two people, there might as well actually be two people!
BTW BryantlovesDisney, if you go to the technical board, there is a post there that takes you through the steps to add a countdown to your sig.
