How many days do you go to park?

It all depends. We usually go 2-3 times a year. Sometimes we stay 11-14 nights. We like to do the waterparks, so I usually buy the 10-day non exp. park hopper that has 10 fun days too. We usually make that last a few trips, so we definetly do not go into the theme parks everyday. Now we LOVE the parks, but we also LOVE hanging out at Disney!!! Visiting the other resorts to pick up favorite snacks that we can ONLY get at that resort....zebra domes at the AKL and beinets at POFQ to name a few, kids have outgrown playing in the fountains at DTD, but we always use to have to spend a few hours there on two different mornings as well as pick up our favorite peanut butter chocolate chip cookie at Goofys Candy store. Renting boats and bikes and riding the monorail and pin trading are all things we enjoy on our "off days". When we stay at Fort Wilderness, we can spend days right there. Honestly when we are home and missing Disney, we miss doing ALL of our favorite things as well as the theme parks pretty equally. However, I have to say that on our shorter stays of a week or less, we do more park days and try to fit the other stuff in, in the afternoons.

arrival day depends on the time we arrive...usually departure day we don't go to a park BUT everyother day we do! We don't usually go ALL day...we are more morning people so we might get to the park at opening and leave either b4 or after dinner and then go to the resort for a swim, bite to eat. other days we might go later in the day if we are going to stay late for the fireworks and we'll go swimming in the morning. We definitly like some downtime - but not an entire day!

We go every day most cases. There was one trip we took a day off mid-trip. That was a 10 day trip. Haven't done one of those since. We usually go 8 days, 7 nights. We didn't do park hopper last time and it felt weird not able to go where we wanted when we wanted. We are doing the park hopper tickets this time. We are down by 9:30 in the morning after flying out at 7 a.m. and then we fly back out 7 at night. That is the latest we have ever flown out. Looking forward to it as I need to get away from everything and everyone even though my DM and my DD's and DS are going also. We usually go back to the hotel in the afternoon so the kids can use the pool. Hopefully it won't rain like it did the last time we went in August.

We don't usually have that long of a vacation, so we go to the parks every day. If we skip any day, it's the last. We'll usually buy tickets enough for all of the days, though. It's only a couple of dollars difference between 5 days and 6 days, or 6 days and 7 days.

We do 2 days at a park. That way it forces us to relax and to do other activities. There is more to visiting WDW than just visiting a park. Spend the day resort hopping, rent a bike or sea racer, relax by the pool, make an appt at a spa, participate in the afternoon activities at your resort, watch the animals at AKL, go see the animals at Fort Wilderness.
Plus that makes a 10 day non expireing park hopper last 5 years for us.

Back in the old days when day 1 and day 7 cost the same, we sometimes skipped a day in the middle. With the current price structure, we're not likely to do that. Might have a sleep in day with parks in the evening or something like that, though.

Here is my schedule,

Day 1 arrive at 2, check in at condo, purchase groceries, visit the pool
Day 2 visiting friends at Coco Beach (they live there so not interested in park)
Day 3 MK
Day 4 Epcot
Day 5 Pool in the morning, not sure about the rest of day (thinking SeaWorld)
Day 6 HS
Day 7 Pool, Packing

Will not be visiting AK, (went 2 years ago).

It never occured to me to not go to the parks...

Me, either. That's what we're there for. :confused3

I can parasail, rent jet skis, mini golf, boat, golf, go to waterparks, etc all at home.

We don't get to go that often (we went in 02, 05, 10), so when we do go, we go to a park every day (and all day long) that we're there.

Even with APs, we go every day. But one day might just be until lunch, or for dinner and a fireworks show. But we are going to spend at least a couple of hours in a park every day.

I can't imagine skipping Animal Kingdom, but I know different people have different tastes.

That schedule just wouldn't work for me. I'd feel like I hadn't even really been.

It depends on the trip for us. If we don't think we'll be back for a year or more then we go every single day of the trip. Now that we go more often we take more breaks. This upcoming trip we have 8 day tickets with WP&M. I think we will be there a total of 11 days. We'll take at least one day to go to Universal, at least 2 days in waterparks (but probably more).
On the other days we might have a few days where we sleep in and swim or go to DTD and only go to a park in the evening.
One thing about going in August when it is that hot is you just can't go from rope drop until sun down.. at least we won't.

We don't go to a park every day. Heck, in 7 family trips, we have yet to visit all 4 major parks in one trip (I thought for sure we were going to make it on our 10 night trip last summer ... but the night before our scheduled AK day, everyone decided they would rather just sleep in and hang out at the resort the following day ... so we skipped AK)!

We schedule at least one day off in the middle to relax at the resort and hang around the pool. Usually, I schedule a non-park ADR for that "off" evening so we get out and about. We also generally don't visit the parks on arrival or departure days. If we are worn out (we usually arrive at rope drop) after a couple of days of hard touring, we will just relax the next day. I guess our vacations to WDW are mix of commando park touring days and flat out vacation relaxation.

In 2012, we are staying 5 nights in August before a cruise. We have a set of non-expiry waterparks and more tickets that we are still working on. I figure we will use 3 park admissions and 1 water park day for a 5 night trip.

We'd do a park everyday and just take as many breaks or long naps as we wanted. We have APs so it really doesn't waste a day of tickets if we only go for a few hours a day.
