Hello everyone, planning a first time visit to Busch Gardens (Tampa) in June, trying to figure how many days we should allow to see all the attractions in a relaxed pace, we have two 14 year old daughters so they will probably want to visit the water park also. Finally, looking at staying at the nearby Embassy Suites, any comments on this hotel is appreciated. Thanks for any help. Also looking at buying the flex tickets as are also planning on visiting Universal and Sea World.

Well 2 days would definitely be better than 1 if you plan to do it in a relaxed pace.If you go on a slower day you can do most of the attractions in one day. However I'll assume you're going sometime in the summer since you want to do their waterpark, Adventure Island. In the summer Busch stays open later hours until around 10 or so,so maybe you can do Busch on day 1 and do the waterpark day 2 until 5pm or so and hop over to Busch to do some of your favorites. The area around Busch Gardens is pretty limited in having good hotels, however the Embassy suites is probably the best in the area and very close to the parks. Also the flex pass including Universal and Busch would be a good deal as their parks are also must dos.You can also think about adding Aquatica Sea World's new waterpark since you like waterparks.

Day 1
4 big coasters and Rhino Rally early, several smaller rides if you want.
4D show and Katonga.Water rides are wet and you'll need either a towel or some drying time.

Day 2
Do anything you didn't do on the first day and reride any favorites.
Walk thru all the animal areas including all the little nooks and crannies.

The rides are a different experience in the dark but sometimes crowded.
If you walk thru all the animal areas to and from the rides you'll often have longer lines later in the day.
We hit Montu,Gwazi,Sheikra then Kuumba.

must do's at busch gardens are montu, kumba, gwazi, and sheikra.

if you're going in the summer and want to take your time going through the park, i would probably give about two days. if you want to experience all of the rides, shows, and animals.

i love the roller coasters, but i'm a softie for some of the shows too. my grandparents used to take me when i was really young and got me stuck on the shows.

i used to be terrified of the roller coasters. my very first roller coaster was kumba. i remember my dad persuading me into riding it.

my favorite roller coaster is montu though. i haven't been on a single one that matchs it. ::yes:: and one of the posters is totally right. at night makes the experience totally different. i love riding montu at night.

skeikra is cool, but i haven't been on it since it became floorless. just wish it was a longer coaster. it's over too quick.

the tidal wave is also one of my favorite attractions. you get soaked on it. if you don't feel like riding it, just stand on the bridge. you get even more soaked then if you are on the ride.

i heard that the stanleyville falls now gets guest's more wet. you used to only get sprinkled on this, but i've been told you can get drenched now.

i would set some time aside for jungala. i've been once since it opened and really enjoyed it. i wish i could have spent more time there.

rhino rally can be good if both parts are open. sometimes only the water portion is open and other times only the land portion is open. it's really a toss up.

adventure island is awesome. my childhood home is literally ten minutes walking distance from the exit of the park. i remember going there all the time during the summer. haven't been there in years though.

the lazy river is my favorite part. just grab a tube and float for hours. the wave pool is pretty cool too. there are a couple of slides that i really like, but i don't remember the names.

never went on tampa typhoon though. just too tall and looks like you go straight down. i've also heard and seen that it's not bikini friendly. just an fyi.

the embassy suites on fowler is awesome. it's been some time since i stayed there, but i really enjoyed it when i did. i was in my senior year of high school, 2002 when i stayed there last. i was there on a competition for a club i was in. the rooms are nice and they all look down into the lobby of the hotel. i believe it's an awesome choice.

hope this helps and enjoy. you'll never hear any complaints from me about these two parks. i grew up in them. if you have any questions about the area or any restaurants, actually anything, please feel free to ask.;)
