How many days are needed for a newbie?

Hi all!

Universal Newbie here. Ok, we have a trip planned for April. I already purchased the $85 deal, so I have 7 days in Universal if needed. We will be staying offsite so, FOTL is not an option. Here is my question, How many days are needed to tour Universal (both parks) for the first timers like us? TIA

I would say two complete days to experience everything Universal has to offer. If you're going in April...the crowds will pick up dramatically around Spring Break but otherwise it's pretty quiet. I doubt you would need to purchase the Express Passes. But take two full days and relax...you don't need to plan every little detail like most people do for Disney. Just pick a park and go...be there early and enjoy!

Thanks! Before the post I was thinking maybe one day each per park and a third day to repeat any favorites. Sounds like I am guessing correctly.
