Spin off of the thread about removing clocks from rooms...

I was thinking about it and the ONLY place I have a clock is my bedroom. The kitchen has a clock face on the stove and the microwave as well. No other room in my house has a clock.

Clock on wall in kitchen/dining, clock on radio, microwave and stove. Clock on cable box, clock radio in 1 bathroom, clock radio in DD's room and alarm clock in our bedroom.

I've typed 'clock' so many times it sounds funny! LOL

We have lots of clocks. Wall clocks in the kitchen (up high enough it never gets changed for DST), one in each bathroom, one in 2 of 3 bedrooms, one in the living room, one in my sewing room. And that doesn't count the ones on various pieces of electronics.

I have a fascination with clocks - I wouldn't say I'm a "collector" but cool and beautiful ones always grab my attention. As a result, it's a go-to gift for me and I have (excluding microwave, DVR, oven, etc) 21 clocks. I have to admit, some are so funky it's hard to tell time on them!

One clock in the kitchen eating area. An alarm clock in the bedroom. That's it.

Digital clocks on microwave and oven. Mantle clock and a clock I got as a service award from work hangs on the wall. Upstairs, just digital clocks on radios. We do have an atomic clock in our bathroom for the wife.

I can see 4 clocks from where I'm sitting on the couch! We have an open plan kitchen/family room/informal dining room. There is a clock on the microwave, one above the pantry that is only correct when it's daylight savings, one bordering the area between the kitchen and family room and a clock radio in the family room. Mum and I both have clock radios in our rooms plus a small analog clock each and I'm sure my sister has a clock too. So at least 9.

We have a clock on the mantle in the family room, a grandfather clock in the living room, clock radios in all bedrooms and clocks on range and microwave.

besides the ones on the computers, oven and microwave, kitchen wall clock, my office wall clock, DH's office wall clock, shop wall clock and 4 alarm clocks in bedrooms

I also love clocks, so we have one in every living space except the kitchen (because it broke about two months ago and I haven't found the "right one" yet.)
We have alarm clocks in every bedroom, two in the master.
Then, the oven, coffee maker, and microwave.

So, 13 clocks.

Oh, and thanks to our neighboring catholic church, I've also got "big ben" I can refer to when I'm in the yard. :thumbsup2

Yeah I didn't include the ones on the computers since they are laptops so using my phone is faster.

Now I'm starting to understand why some people are more upset about the removal of clocks from hotel rooms. Given that I'm pretty use to using my phone for time it doesn't bother me... but as I said... I don't have clocks.

There is an old-fashioned "school house" style chiming clock in the family room, one on the wall above the refrigerator in the kitchen as well as on the microwave oven and stove, one in DH's office, a propeller desk clock from Disney Cruise Line on my desk in the office, and one each in the bedrooms. Oh, and I also have my parents' 50th anniversary clock on an end table here in the office, almost forgot that one.

Interesting, never really thought about it but here goes. Kitchen - one on oven, one on microwave, one on the wall. Open plan living room/kitchen but still have one on the mantle of the living room. Two in master bedroom - one on each side of the bed. One in the closet - I like to see how much time I have left when I'm getting dressed. One in each of the two spare bedrooms upstairs. One in my play room upstairs. One in my workout room in the basement. One in DH's office in the basement. One on the hot tub in the basement. That is 13. Other than the one's in the spare bedrooms upstairs, I can say each and every one of them is looked at at least once a day.

I only have two. One in the kitchen which is up high and I never look at it. I don't even know if the time is right. And DH uses an alarm clock in the bedroom. But I do like clocks in hotel rooms. At home if I wake up I can glance at the cable box. In a hotel I have to look at my phone and sometimes there isn't a plug right next to the bed or my side doesn't have a nightstand.

I only included actual clocks. Not cable boxes, computers, microwave etc...

I only have one true clock, my alarm clock. The rest are all devices with clocks, like the microwave. My oven clock does not work at the moment. I usually just use the cable guide for the time (no display on cable box) or my universal remote, which shows the time. Then there's the phone and computer. That's it.

My grandmother was a firm believer that there be a proper clock in every room in the house. I always liked her old, classic "Regula" clock with the octagonal frame around the face and small pendulum (I still see these in stores today). Swinging pendulums bother me though so I would never have one.

We have an anniversary clock in the living room, a wall clock in the kitchen, a mantel clock in the family room, a wall clock in the playroom/school room, & a digital alarm clock-radio in our bedroom.

So, not counting the digital clocks on the stove & microwave, we have 5 clocks. In each of our main living spaces (w/ the exception of the dining room), we have a clock.

The clock we have in the kitchen was a wedding present, so it's almost 21 years old. The anniversary clock in the living room is even older; DH got it for me while we were dating.

Dining room - 1; kitchen - 2; living room - 1; den - 1; our bedroom - 3; guest bedrooms - 2 (1 in each).

9.
-stove
-microwave
-spindle area between kitchen/family room
-on tv stand in the family room
-my sister's room
-my niece's room
-my room
-2 in my parent's room
