How many autographs do you or your kids have? Have you counted them? We were at WDW for 8 days. 5 days in the parks and my girls ended up with 53 separate autographs. It seemed like we spent a lot of time getting them but the lines went fast and it was the girls favorite part of the trip. They even play character signing now where they act like a character and you ask them to sign your book.

I have an entire autograph book full of them from various trips! Several are repeats though...I think I must have at least 5 different Belle signatures...she's my fav. hehehe.

On our trip last April, DS only got 9. There were no characters just out and about. The lines for the others were really, really long. This past February he got 49 separate ones, and a few repeats. It was great. It seemed like every time we turned around there was another character.

February did seem swampped with Characters. We got 40+ in 4 days with 4 character meals. My DD loved it!

I'm not too thrilled about waiting in line for autographs, but my girls are dying to do it on our upcoming trip. I am going to make a no-duplicates rule: I don't want them to realize later that the handwriting is different!

We went overboard with meeting characters and getting signatures - we got 72 unique signatures in a five day trip in mid January! My nephew only wants to meet characters - he couldn't care less about the rides. :)

Before going to the parks, I bought two autographs books, and made a list of almost 100 characters I thought it was theoretically possible to meet. I then searched every Disney clipart site, and saved a small picture of every character we wanted, except for the Country Bears, since there are no clipart pictures of them anywhere! I then printed out all these pictures, and placed one per page over the two books. I tried to divide the books up by parks - roughly, the 1st book were characters most likely to be found at MK and MGM, and the second book was characters to be found most likely at MGM, Epcot, and AK. Page 1 was Mickey, Page 2 was Minnie, Page 3 was Donald, etc. Page 49 was B.E.N.. Page 98 was Stromboli. I left two blank pages for "surprise" characters I didn't plan on meeting.

When we met characters, I would flip to their picture, and then they would sign there. The characters really liked it! Malificent even took the autograph book and showed it to the CM working with her, flipping through the pages! This way, we had no repeats in our book. And my nephew could tell from the picture who the signature was (since he is still learning to read).

We could have gotten more - we saw Snow White's Prince, Radcliff, Robin Hood, Pinocchio, and Foulfellow but didn't have the autograph book with us!

Can't wait to get more characters!!!! Character hunting is so much fun! :) :)

On our last trip this past July, DD got between 50-60. We are already preparing her a new book for this summer. Hopefully we will get more.
