How many Castaway Club members are there?

Interesting numbers from the Fantasy. I was on the Wonder in January (4 nights) and there were literally 15 people at the Gold/Platinum CC reception. Very weird. Then on the WBPC in May DCL closed off the Goofy Pool area for the CC reception. There were hundreds of us there (just guessing).

As far as "bragging rights" go - I don't think that the people at the various CC levels are bragging about it, but there is a group of people that seem to sail on "every first voyage" (and I am NOT talking about mmouse37!!) I have been on my share of "firsts" but its mostly coincidental - the timing worked out for us AND new itinerary. Next year with the new southern sailing we decided on the second one because it works out a little better with client work and we won't be with the "Maiden Voyage" group(s).

We cruised the Magic from Galveston in Feb 2013. Somewhere around 95% of cruisers were new to Disney.

Palo was dead. The waiters complained that no one knew that the restaurant was there.

We were one of 3 or 4 couples at the Gold/Platinum Party. There were more ship officers than pax. We got a lot of attention and had a great visit with the Port Adventures Manager from South Africa.

BTW, my 5 year old is gold and 2 of his cruises were KCF.

We mentioned to the Future Cruise staff that CC status should be nights rather than cruises and she said that she hears that a lot.

It took us 36 nights to reach gold.

I am a two day cruiser to nowhere on the Magic and I will take that notch in my belt very happily, thank you very much!:thumbsup2

My kids hit Gold before I did - that stunk because I am the one booking the cruises, so their status doesn't count for diddly when we cruised. :headache: No reception for me! :sad1: Just have to keep cruising, keep cruising, keep cruising.... :boat:

Oh and my kids haven't even hit puberty yet! They're well on their way to being platinum by 16! They love it, love their lanyards and are dedicated Disney cruisers because they love how Disney acknowledges their loyalty. And my kids actually do make the decision on which line we go on... I could be happy on a lot of other lines, but we go Disney because my kids love being GOLD Disney cruisers! ... and they love DCL for everything it has to offer, but they do love their "status" too.

On other lines concierge sailings count as more credit. My son, 17, has been platinum for a while .we have 18 cruises and would love to see some changes
