How many can I fit in a minivan?

Hi everyone,

This is no doubt a dumb question to many of you, but we have a group of 5 adults and 2 kids going to the World, and I'm thinking about renting a minivan since we want to go to Sea World one day and USO one day.

Can we all fit in one comfortably, or would it be a squeeze?

Minivans in general seat 7 so you are covered! If you get a standard model, you might be tight with luggage space but if you get a long base model (ie Grand Caravan) you'll have tons of luggage space. Enjoy.

As zulaya said, on the regular minivans the rear bench seat is locked into position at the very furthest rear position, so don't expect to put much if any luggage back there. If each person has a suitcase and carry on, there'll be a lot of luggage on your laps. One option I've seen posted is sending most of the group ahead in a taxi or car service, and the driver then will have plenty of room for all the luggage, once at WDW you won't need the extra room for luggage and the smaller, cheaper minivan will be fine.

Alot depends upon who you are renting from. In July we rented from Alamo and go an 8 passenger Montana. When we had to move from outside Disney to our Disney resort. There were 4 teenagers and DH and myself, 6 30inch or larger suitcases, 5 21 or 23 inch suitcases, 6 carry on bags and some groceries. We made it. If you are looking just for transportation between your resort and Sea World, etc, I think you would be fine. I am sure they won't mind being squeezed sine they are in Disney.

I appreciate your help, everyone. It sounds to me like the 8 person or the Grand Caravan would be best. I'm thinking we might go first to the Raddisson Parkway for 3 nights to do the Sea World and Universal deal and then move to a Disney Resort for another 6 nights or so. It would be good to be able to move the luggage without too much trouble.

Jcanary, do you mind if I ask how much the Montana cost you to rent?
