We have too many GS in our neighborhood and at DH's work! Since I was a GS, all through school, I can't say no....plus I really love those Samoas ;)

Between me and DH we have about 14 boxes, a variety of flavors, coming to us so far. Since I'm now pregnant with gestational diabetes, that week after the baby is born is going to be tough resisting all those cookies!

Where the heck are they selling for $2.50 a box??? Not only do we have one of the highest cost of living, highest taxes, highest utilities in the country, even the GS are giving NY'ers the short end of the stick! :earseek:

Good Luck to all the Girl Scouts in their cookie sales!

I hate to disappoint anyone, but Girl Scout Cookies are NOT made from real Girl Scouts!

Yeah Helenabear!!! I ordered 10 boxes as well!

I support our local girl scouts, they are so good, they freeze well, and I have to walk an extra mile or two for the cookies I do eat;)

Our cookies went for $3.50 a box.

I'm curious about the varieties sold in other areas. I always thought they were all the same, but learned last year each region has their own varieties. I think eveyone gets thin mints and trefoils, but other than that, it is regional. We were offered the peanut butter patties, the coconut/caramel ones, a rasberry jelly filled one, I think the oatmeal with peanut butter sandwich cookies, Animal Treasures, and a low fat lemon pastry. We are in the Mid Atlantic area. How about other areas?

I was a major GS for years (now I'm in that awkward college age group, GSUSA needs a lot of work in this age group if you ask me). Anyway cookie sales are held at different times in different places of the country with different prices and even different cookie names, it's just GS marketing strategies. Thanks CarolA for putting the rule about sales up on the board because it really does hurt your local troops. I know GS Cookies can be expensive, but you're not just buying the flour, chocolate, sugar, box, etc. (even though they are extra yummy!!!) The profits really do go to the girls. I was able to go to space camp with the help of financial aid given through my council office partially due to cookie funds, not to mention all the local activities my troop was able to do at little cost because we raised $$ through cookie sales.

Anyway, off the soap box about that now....sorry

 In regards to the poll question, we buy one of each except the weird fruit kind. Every year they come out with a low fat alternative which usually has something fruity in it but tastes like cardboard if you ask me. Don't know what it is this year, but I'm sure going to stay away from it. :)

neice and great neice are selling them, bought 5 all together between the 2.:teeth:

I bought 13! And was hoping for another stray GS to hit me up, but it didn't happen. I guess I'll have to make due! :teeth:

I haven't come across a girl scout yet.:(

But, I'm sure DH will be hit up at work. He's usually good for 2 boxes per person. At least thats what comes home. I wonder how many he hides in his desk. SAMOAS RULE

6 boxes!

4 Thin Mints for my DD and 2 Samoas for Dh & I to split (but they usually arrive smack dab at the beginning of lent so I don't get to eat them for a while!

I ordered 2 boxes -- from three different girls! Total of 6 so far - but that could change at any moment! Love those peanut butter patties!
