How many booked the "Special Deal"

We are planning a trip with or without this special so I would need air and book it as soon as available.

I would think even if you won't be going if the ressies get cancelled I would still book flights with SWA. If you need to cancel you will get a credit anyways for a future flight and an excuse to book a second trip!!

southwest just opened up there dates through march 9th anyone think we should get flights or wait. Our trip is 1-12-07. Any advice? :wizard:
I am guessing that the price is a good one.

If you would still be going if the deal went away then yes.
If you would use the credit by 1-12-08 then yes.
If you could not go and are not sure about your future vacations then no.

Actually if you cancel you must use the credit within 1 year from the BOOKING date not the travel date. Just wanted to clear that up. :)

The "Suites" are backed on the booking site now. The rooms were taken out after the INCIDENT, but now they are ready to be booked for about $39.00 more than the regular room rate. I guess THEY need to up the $$$ lost during that Period.

ANyone remember a glitch with Florida resident rates and the old best rate program (or it's FL resident equivalent) last year? They wer getting rooms for like $20/night. If I remember correctly, and I could be wrong since I'm not a Florida resident and was just watching out of curiosity, Disney called everyone booked with it and told them they would only honor 1 night at that rate and that was only if they made NO changes to their reservation at all...not changing names, resorts, dates, ANYTHING. If they wanted to keep more than 1 night of their reservation they would have to pay the regular Florida resident rate for those nights.

I was one of the ones who booked the "Fl resident rate glitch" last year. They ended up calling me personally and left a message. It took a week or so before they called me - it wasn't right away.
We offered the one night at the glitch rate and then a FL resident rate thereafter. I was also able to change dates as well as add or drop days.

I would be willing to bet WDW will be making a few phone calls, but if not, take loads of pics!

Was the Fl resident rate glitch able to be booked for numerous nights or per night ressies.

I am wondering because each ressie is only for one night how that would work in this situation.

This thread falls into a "grey" area. In the past we have closed any thread that talked about ways to "cheat" Disney. Since this is a "glitch" I have reopened the thread.

OK don't flame me :firefight but am I the only one who thinks that taking advantage of a glitch is a bit dishonest? It's basically taking a suite for free at Disney's expense because of an error in the booking system. I'd feel guilty about it but I guess that's just me. Again, not trying to spoil the fun or :stir: just a bit surprised that it hasn't been brought up yet. I'm also surprised that many people plan on actually fighting Disney on the issue (when it's presented to them) in the name of good customer service.

Again, not trying to rain on anyone's parade.. I'm glad so many people are excited about their trips. I guess I'm just the odd one out that would feel a little strange about it.

It has been brought up already and debated....this thread was for those who have booked and when we are travelling. The other thread has already been locked.

my thoughts exactly, each night booked is a separate entity.

any new info?

Per a discussion elsewhere in a place that shall not be mentioned...looks like most peoples credit cards have cleared and I don't think anyone has heard anything from WDW yet. No news is good news I guess.

only partial clearing yesterday for me, first time I was anxious to see a charge hit my account!

to paraphrase you, may be my new motto, place where I dwell:

elsewhere, in a place that shall not be named:teeth:

Wouldn't worry yet about partial clearing as mine were pending up until last night. When they posted this morning two are from 9/19 and two are from 9/21 even though I made the reservations alll in a period of about 30 min.

And that's all I'm going to say about that on here at least. Maybe elsewhere, in the place that shall not be named.... :rotfl:

2007 will most definitely be a "Year of a Million Dreams" !!! Forget about sleeping in Cinderella's Castle, spending a couple of nights in a Garden Suite is truly a dream come true for us!!! Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

Thanks for opening this thread again!! :thumbsup2

All charges posted completely to our CC this morning. (Not Disney Visa)

I was just wondering approximately how many "suites" were taken during the "glitch"? There are 14 Garden Suites in BWI, right? So I assumed that @ 14 x 365 days = 5110 suites available for the entire year.
I only got 2 nights out of the pool of 5110. I don't think the glitch is going to create a hugh dent to WDW. :rotfl: Just a wishfull in my part.

For those of you who don't know what happened today- the Boardwalk Inn was on the website. Cheap! A one night stay with base tickets in a garden suite for 2 adults and one 10yr old was only $217. You had to book them one day at a time. I guess Disney goofed. Now all that booked are wondering if the price will be honored. :confused3

That's not cheap compared to CBR. How much is the BWI garden suite normally?

For peak season they are somewhere around $800/night, much to my surprise. I thought they were like the garden wings at CR, the cheapest part of the resort. Silly me! and they ARE cheap compared to CBR, when you figure that the $217for 2 adults and 1 child included 1-day tickets for each!
