How many BLT add-on pts

I'm considering an Add-on at BLT of about 50pts. Still researching the pts chart and figuring out if 50 pts will be enough even with banking and borrowing pts. If my whole family of 5 travels with me than we will need a 2 BR. Don't believe a 1-BR will work for us, we have 3 teenage sons who are all 6' or taller. I think a 1-BR will be to tight. I'm so confused with trying to decided how many pts I will need, can't go overboard purchasing an add-on, don't have the money right now, but would love to own at BLT. MK is my favorite park and would love to be right there next to it when traveling to WDW.

With this said, I'm wondering who's adding on and how many add-on pts are you purchasing?

I added-on 200 points.

Why don't you think about adding on enough points to get the reservation you want every 3 years?

Right now, there are only incentives on 100+ points, and the only real advantage to purchase right now is the 160+ point founding members that get their name on a fountain.

It may (AKV gave better offers to those that waited) or may not be possible that they eventually give out better incentives on BLT, but why not hold onto your money a while longer, considering you cannot use any BLT points for a year?

We added on 70 points for now. We're not going to be able to use it right when they open anyway, so we looked at the points chart and figured out how much we need during the seasons we like to go. 70 gives us enough to bank and borrow for a trip for now. We'll probably add on more in December or May when we go to see the models, but 70 is good for now for us.

If one were to purchase 100 pt. add on to take advantage of the current incentive, could you do so in two 50 pt. contracts?

One thought I have about adding on for a small contract and then using once every 3 years is that will the dues on those points be more than what I could pay cash for a Contemporary Tower room???

Your dues for a three year period will be under $600, barring a big jump in dues after the first year.

You could stay one night in the most basic room at the Contemporary, next September (Adventure season) for about $315 NOT including taxes.

Your 50-point contract would net you 150 points during the three-year period, meaning that in September 2010 (banking and borrowing) you could stay in a Magic Kingdom view studio (if you could get it) for a full week, and have 9 points left over.

Yes, just tell your guide that you want your 100-point add on in two 50-point contracts.

dues will go up every year - so yes it will be cheaper but you will also have paid 112 for the points.

Depending on the time of year you go, *Tower - Bay Lake View* rooms start at $390/night plus 12.5% tax and go up to $575/night plus tax for 2009. *Tower - MK View* rooms begin at $430/night plus tax and go up to $635/night.
