How Many Applicants apply for the College Program?

Does anyone have a rough estimate at the number of applicants that apply vs. how many are accepted? Thanks for your help!

For fall last year, our recruiter told us that it was generally around 12-14K applicants for 4-5K spots

I'm not sure how accurate that is b/c i spoke to one of the CP directors down in florida and he told me that there were 3k kids altogether for spring 2010 season and it was the largest group they've had

It really depends on who's counting and, more importantly, what and whom they're counting - while it may seem clear cut, there are really several ways to respond to the question "How many CPs are there?". Not to mention that it's not really a topic open for discussion outside of a labour relations context, so most responses should be taken with a grain of salt.

I will say that the total number of Florida-Site Disney College Program Participants is set at a level that ensures that they do not work more than 35% of total hours worked by all Cast Members in a given calendar year, in accordance with the Service Trades Council Union Collective Bargaining Agreement and company policies on labour utilization.

That's what I heard as well when I did my program in Spring 2010. How many applicants applied, though?

I don't believe anyone is going to know that (as generally that information is not released).
