How many animals have you killed?

One fox. He ran out of a vineyard and right in front of me when I was going about 70 mph. When I saw him, I slammed on my brakes but still hit him with the bumper of my car. I cried the rest of the way to work. I called my dad and told him and he said "If you hadn't braked, you probably wouldn't have hit him." Gee thanks Dad! I think if I hadn't braked, I would have run over him with my tires and lost control and crashed my little car!

I forgot about the bat! Years ago. I worked 3pm to 11pm. One hot summer night I was just pulling out of the parking lot when a bat flew into my front windshield right by the drivers side.

Totally freaked me out because I didn't know if was still hanging on somewhere so I drove all the way home with my windows rolled up. I didn't have air conditioning so I was about dead by the time I got home.

Pulled into my driveway but now I'm afraid to open the door because what if he's clinging there and really, really mad? I almost asphyxiated myself before I got the guts to open that car door and run like a bat out of hell (no pun intended) into my house.

I've never killed an animal but I eat meat. Would that be considered the same thing? Some might think so.

1 cat, 1 possum and 1 bird. Tuesday night we ran over a deer right after 2 other cars hit it (this happened really fast, the three cars were traveling together) so I'm not sure who killed it. It was pretty sad.

Don't feel too bad. Some squirrels actualy decide to "move on" in the fall and purposely run in front of cars.

armadillos make a really disgusting crunch sound. and we saw a cat attempt suicide outside of Orlando on I-4. a woman was driving with a couple of cats in the car and the windows down. one jumped out at 80 mph and somehow made it to the grass on the side of the highway

One time driving to work on the interstate, there was a red Cardinal, the state bird of VA. He was flying really low and at me, I couldn't slam on brakes and have the person behind me hit me, so the bird got it. I had red feathers in my grill.

The smallest was the Finch. The largest was a Common White Heron! It was about 3 feet tall!!!

I also hit a Pigeon with the very tip of the hood of my Fathers truck. It dented the truck and landed on the back bumper! Dad was not happy about the truck.

One summer on the way to the beach I hit a Cardinal (not the Catholic type). My Mother in Law says "Oh you missed it". When we go to the beach, it was stuck in the grill!

In 18 years of driving, I killed 1 bird. He flew into my windshield so I think it counts as suicide. I almost ran off the road trying to avoid a possum. He made it okay.
