How many allowed on Magical Fireworks Cruise?

I am wondering how many people are on the boat for the Magical Fireworks Cruise. I don't mean the Wishes cruise with the pontoon boats which seat up to 12, I mean the fireworks cuise that is booked as a part of the Grand gatherings. I am sure I have read on this board somewhere that they use the boats from Epcot(I think they were the Friendship boats?) and can seat 25-30? If anyone has been on this and can tell me I would appreciate it. We have a group of 20 people going in June and my travel agent is being told by someone at Disney that the boats for this event only hold 12 people so our group would be split up. If this is truly the case, we won't be interested in doing this event. Thanks.

We did this in December. There were at least 30 people on our boat and it was about 1/3 empty. Since you are a large group, I would book as soon as you are allowed to book.

It was a wonderful experience, both my children and my husband and I loved it. It was worth every penny.
