How loud is HDDR?

My daughter is deaf and uses cochlear implants. A lot of background noise bothers her and I am wondering how noisy it is at HDDR with the music? She did fine at everything last year, but how does the noise compare to places like Hollywood and Vine?

there is music but to me less background noise compared to most character meals. has she done any shows? would think of it as a show with food. the food is where most of background noise is. is louder when eating but not during show just because people are talking and dishes are coming to or leaving tables.

It gets pretty loud at the end when they pass out washboards for each table and the guests play them with spoons. That completely freaked my son out when he was younger and my husband had to take him outside.

It can get pretty loud especially on the main floor; not quite as noisy if you are seated upstairs in the balcony, but as the pp mentioned, the washboards may be an issue. Last year, we did hear HDDR while eating next door at the Trails End Buffet.

Have zero experience with a hearing sensitivity but tend to agree with the PP's. It's normal "show" volume for the most part....song, dance, speaking parts, etc. The room is sort of the size of a medium-sized church so the volume isn't sky high. The washboard part is definitely going to be the overall noisiest/loudest part in terms of overall noise level.

I have Pseudotumor cerebri and am very sensitive to sounds, I have earplugs with me at ALL times, especially in Disney. I did do HDDR last time I was there and I did need them but not for the whole show. The reverb isn't as bad as Hollywood & Vine because it is in a mostly wooden structure but you got washboards at the end, the people on stage hollering out to the audience and encouraging you to bang on tables. Also when they stop for intermission and everyone is eating the ambient crowd noise can get quite loud because you are in one giant room. I know its a totally separate medical issue but I hope this helps, but I also don't want to turn you off cuz its a great show, just want to prepare you:cutie:

DS is highly noise sensitive, easily agitated and panics.
He did very well there on the second level.
We booked category 3 and really liked it.
Even if they bring the washboards, you don't have to take.
And in 3 there is no one in front or behind you.
