How long?

We're sending our final paperwork and check in today. How long before I hear from Disney with our information? We have a March use year and I understand if we aren't going to use it this year (not sure yet) we need to bank by end of August.

We just bought and are financing through disney...this is our timeframe:

May 26th - Called and set up our purchase agreement (160pts)

June 2nd - Received paperwork via fedex

June 9th - Notarized and Signed all paperwork

June 1th - Received a call welcoming us to DVC (everything accepted)

They told me about a week after you mail your paperwork back they will send you a letter saying they received it. Then (if financed) a week later than that you will receive their decision on that.

We happened to get approval and receipt on the same day (or so it seemed.

Call member services with you member number from your packet. Your points are already in the system and you can bank them. I just got the contract in the mail today for 150 BCV points Dec. use year, and because it's a new purchase they banked all the points now (I got them banked a few hours ago). You can bank points now, book a vacation now, but you can't travel until the contract's complete. Congrats!

One you actually close, the closing agent will send you and DVC a copy of the deed at the same time they send the original to Orange County to be recorded. It usually takes 3-5 working days from there before MS can look you up in the system. So once you get your first copy of the deed, go ahead and call MS and see if they can find you.
