If we want to add on 25 or 50 points at BCV through Disney, how long does it normally take for them to find a contract? I know it can vary, but was just looking for a general idea from a timing standpoint.
It does depend on UY. We have a March UY and added on twice, 2 25 point contracts toward the end of 2008. Neither took longer than 3 days, even though when we first called Michelle, they didn't have any March points that she could "see."

I think it's just luck of the draw. Mine was instant, called one night and had my points the next day on a 30 pt BWV add on. I have heard of people waiting months for points to be available. I guess it just depends on what's going on in the resale market.
We started our initial contract at BCV in 2008 and it took them 2 days to get us 160 points. Quick and painless-well the money was painful, but the process was easy and fast. But we were not looking to match a UY. That might slow it down.
If buying direct from DVC they strongly recommend and/or may only sell you the same use year. We thought of changing ours as well and they strongly recommmended not to.
