We are now planning for early 2007. :cool1: . We love January as there is no one there!!! Just wondering when the crowds start to increase. JAnuary is hard for DH at work but our favorite. We love Chirstmas, March is good but NEVER again in July. This will be the last trip before DS goes to High School and I doubt taking him out will be an option any longer.

Thanks for the help. It is wonderful to start planning again!!!!!!!!!!

This year I think we had one week of what I considered a typical SLOW week at WDW.
It died down starting Januray 1. Stayed that way for a few weeks, and started getting busy all over again.
January is still a better time to visit than the hot, crowded summer (I think).

After visiting a couple of times during the hot crowded summer months, I am looking forward to te low crowds and cooler temps.

Wonder how shocked I'll be though? I am soooooo used to crowds everywhere, it may feel a little weird.

I can't wait! I hope everyone is right about the crowds.

The first time we did Disney as a family was in 2000. We went in September. Left to go on Labor Day when all of the other children were headed back to school. At the time my son was in 1st grade, one daughter prescool age and the other 18 months or so. I don't think anyone misses too much the first week of school anyway. Well the parks were empty!! We had all of fantasy land done in less then an hour and that included a show!! It was really our best trip to date. We have gone every year since. Twice in February, twice in March and now we are going the day after Thanksgiving for a week. I always tell anyone who asks that the week after Labor Day is the best time to go to avoid the crowds.

We're also planning for early January 2007- I hope everyone is right about the crowds! We will have a 4yr old and 2 yr old, so waiting in lines would really put a damper on things.
The planning is fun, isn't it? :)

I LOVE the planning. I have to check the dates for value season then we get to choose a resort. We really love WL, but are thinking of AKL this trip. IF I can get a really good rate at CT that is my first choice this trip. Would love to do Polly or GF but we just can not spend that kind of money. This will be our first trip since the dinning package and we really enjoy dinning out so this is going to be great for our family.

Oohh.. AKL will be nice :)
We'll be at AS Movies (at the request of my ds :) ) But I would love to try AKL or WL.. maybe I can convinve DH to do a split stay ;)

I can't wait to try the dining plan, either. I think it will help me to enjoy myself more & not worry about what everything costs. I'm always keeping a mental tally of what we're spending and I drive myself crazy :rotfl:
