How long will Disney Reservations be down?

At one point yesterday the site looked totally different than it ever has. They had a video not just a pic of Pandora area on the home page. The dates were placed differently than before too.

I can't imagine the backlog when they finally come back up! :sad2: I'm glad I don't need to make any new resort reservations for the next several weeks.

Interesting..I did not see that. Whatever they have planned has not worked out thus far.

And of course just today wife and I agreed I should take a short solo trip before our family trip in August. It would be 60 days from today and I can't book it.

Yep... everything is showing no availability. No matter what I put in for dates/resort. So it's bugged out for whatever reason.

There must be something big that went wrong. Which can honestly happen to any company. Though I wonder why Disney doesn't just use their backup. I mean, I know tech support is not their strong suite, but they have to have a backup. Of course, I am not sure how that would impact anything that WAS done within the last few days like ADRs, FPs, and the like. So maybe they don't want to risk that either.

And it's not going to "hurt" Disney all that much. People don't exactly have a lot of options when it comes to booking a Disney resort. They may lose a few to going off site, but I doubt it would be a considerable number.
No one could book ADR either. The only thing working since they took it down is FP

I'm thinking the group standing in the surprised they aren't finished yet corner is pretty dang small

You are right though, what does the outage hurt them? Very little. Not like folks who are planning a trip to Disney and want to stay on site have many other options. They wait. Maybe book with Orbitz but that is not without its own headaches and I'm sure they can't get the necessary confirmation numbers right now either

I'm just glad to see that it's not only me. I'm planning trips in Sept, Oct, and Dec and could not find any rooms for any of them.

Well - it's 6-11-2017..... no more warning messages.
Also no 2018 data.

Betting WDW got into a "roll back" situation....When everything breaks, RESTORE previous state. This is actually good practice for a BUSINESS.

FWIW, we've successfully made several restaurant reservations yesterday!

That is what I was thinking.

Just signed into my MDE account to see if I could add a day to our Free dining reservation at WL and I got this message...

We're Working on It

Our systems are unavailable as they are currently undergoing maintenance. Rest assured, we'll be back soon, so please try again later.

So they may have taken down the main message but they are obviously continuing to have major trouble.

Resorts showing availability until you click them, having to contact them twice about a reservation, and now not receiving emails from Disney. I'm becoming a bit steamed at this point. :furious:

Sorry...it is frustrating. I guess calling is not making a difference so I guess I will hold tight....my guess is I most likely will not be able to add the day anyhow...whenever I try to add a day to a Free dining package I am inevitably told I need to purchase a separate resort reservation.

Orbitz just shows sold out at all Disney resorts.

This is so aggravating. I'm trying to book an August trip, trying to compare dates, resorts, dvc cash availability, etc. Can pull up any pricing. Day three of this nonsense. Dvc seems to be up and running.

DVC site seems fine but unfortunately some of that is still linked to the Disney site like their email generator when reservations or modifications are made.

I liked the homepage, but the reservations page seemed the same. I only saw it for a brief few minutes. Just enough to get excited that it was working only to have my hopes crushed when it showed everything sold out. lol
