How long was your ME trip to your hotel from the airport?

Booking my friends on a flight from Seattle that would get in about 5:00 p.m. I am coming up from Sarasota, probably won't get in til around 7:00 (going after work) but I need to be there for them to get in our room since I am the passholder. I am just wondering how long they might have to sit around the hotel waiting for us if they use the ME service. I figure ten to twenty minutes to get off the plane then....

I am curious to know this too. We are headed there Sunday and meeting up with my other family members who arrive an hour before we do. Anyone out there with info on this?

Our flight landed at 6am and we were at the resort, checked in, and laying on the bed in our room by 7:30am. Granted this was early in the am so there were not many people there at all. But from what I have heard from others is that it is usually about 1 hour to 1 1/2 from time they landed. Hope that gives you an idea.

It took us about 1 1/2 hours. I swear the driver got lost in between POP and the ASMU. We usually rent a car so are used to driving the WDW roads. I had no idea where we were, and it took much longer than it should have between the 2 resorts. We also didn't rush through the airport. Only 2 people ahead of us in the check in line, and our bus was just about to leave so we didn't sit waiting.

I used Magical Express earlier this month. My flight landed around 1:40, and I was at my resort and checked in by about 3:00.

Ours was just over an hour. Our driver forgot we were going to SSR and dropped off a group at OKW, then proceeded to POFQ and then POR. He had to double-back to take us to SSR, so it took a little longer than it should have, but it was not too bad.

In October, arrived on a Sunday around 9:45 AM; less than 55 minutes from plane to BCV. We were the third stop....CBR, BW, then BC. There were ony 12 people on the bus.

In December, arrived on a Saturday around 10:00 AM; About 90 minutes from plane to BCV. Again, we were the third stop same as above. Bus was full and the major delay was at the ME check-in counter at the airport (about 25 minutes). There was also a cruise checking in.

No problems with luggage delivery either! ;)

It took me 53 minutes from the time I got into the DME line until I was dropped off at CBR. I can't give an accurate time from the time we landed because we wasted a lot of time in the airport before getting to the DME counter (kid delays, mother-in-law having to check out a stupid shop in the airport, etc.).

But I have a question about your post:

I guess I'm missing something here. If your friends are named on the room reservation, why can't they just check in themselves and get their key cards? If they're not named on the reservation, they can't ride DME.

Best thing I can tell you is to have your friends call you when they actually get on the bus. Trip form airport to first resort is about 25 minutes and then about 3 to 5 minutes per stop after that. Th lobbies are so nice at the resorts I don't think they will mind if you are a few minutes late.
