How long to tour Kennedy Space Center?

Hi all

Can anyone give me a rough idea as to how many hours we can expect to use up touring KSC? We're wondering if we've got time to fit anything else in that day?

Its been YEARS since we went so any hints would be appreciated!

We have never been to KSC and plan to go this year so would love to hear anyones comments on it too

There's no real easy answer to this as it depends on whether you wish to experience everything (all the movies, etc.) or just the highlights. I usually spend 2/3 of a day there but I don't see every movie but I like spending time at the Saturn V building. Others may spend considerably less time or more depending on their interests.

There is so much to see at KSC that if you did everything it would take more than a day. I do think you can make a day of it. I wouldn't try to do anything else the day you visit.

Your ticket also includes entry to the Astronaut Hall of Fame, so it also depends on if you plan to to there as well. KSC can easily be a two day visit if you plan on seeing everything.

A lot depends on which tour you plan to take as they vary in length.

For me the must see's are

The Saturn shead....available by tour

All the movies

The Astronaut hall of fame can be done on day two without re-ticketing, but it is best if you can squeeze in the visit on day one. There are a couple of simulators here which may make you barf

Bag checks are rigorous.

The food inside is expensive, not much choice, but reasonable quality

Take a full day and get there at opening time.
