How long to plan to stay at BB or TL?

With all of the AK night activities, instead of spending a day there, I'm considering doing a water park in the day and then heading to AK for the night activities. We usually spend about 5 hours at AK. We have a FP for EE from 7:15-8:15 and Safari 9:30-10:30 (hoping to get a FP for the Jungle Book show in between those). How long is long enough at a Disney water park? I was thinking maybe 10 am to 3 pm? That would give us enough time to clean up, rest a bit, and head to AK by 6. Or isn't that enough time to do everything at TL/BB? DD15 and DS9 like, but don't love, water parks. They've never been to either Disney water park but want to try one out. (Aquatica has been their favorite but I want to stay on property.) I'm leaning towards Typhoon Lagoon.

We usually go 10-2, but but ours are a no park day. The water parks usually open at 10. They used to have EMH for them, but I have not seen that for awhile. In our experience, most things have minimal, if any lines at opening. An hour or two in crowds are heavier. We usually go to TL. When crowds increase is when we do the wave pool and the lazy river. You should be able to hit everything in that amount of time. If you are looking to do the swim with the sharks attraction, you may want to get in line early if you are at a busy time of the year. The line grew quickly, when we were there last year.
