how long to be in DVC system thru resale?

Our timeline is as follows:
10/11/07: Offer made and accepted (thru InternationalGMAC)
10/17: Submitted to Disney for ROFR
11/08: Passed ROFR
11/15: Received Closing docs
11/27: Our Closing docs & cashier's check received by TCS (Closing co)
11/30: Closed (took seven weeks)

Waiting to get into DVC system. We were very pleased with the whole process.

Official word is "up to 10 days after Closing" but it often (tho not always) takes a few days less. :rolleyes1

I don't know if this is typical or not, but we closed on 12/3 and were in the system this AM (12/6) even though or points may take a couple more days to show up.

Can someone please throw some pixie dust my way
I'm still waiting to close. The sellers haven't turned their closing paperwork in and their not returning phone calls to our agent. :scared1: I should have taken the advice given in this thread of holding the money and earn interest until the sellers docs were in....oh well just needed to vent.

Since your Closing docs came on 11/27, not that much time has passed. I know it seems like forever.
Our Sellers took nine days to return their docs and they weren't completed correctly. The second time they took seven days.
After the Closing company got all the docs, it Closed the next day, and we were in the system three days later.
What would concern me in your case is that your Sellers aren't returning calls from your agent. Maybe they're away. I hope your agent is giving this the attention it needs.
pixie dust to you

Wow, a lot of sellers with incorrectly completed closing docs!? I was told the same thing for both of my resales. I was given a bit of a run around by the closing company, so I wonder if that is just their way of passing the blame? I thought the instructions were easy to follow and can't believe that so many sellers mess theirs up. Is your closing agent Timeshare Services?

We used TCS (Timeshare Closing Services.) The difficulty seems to often be with the Deed. I'm guessing it's confusing to some people because it requires signatures from the Sellers and two witnesses in addition to being notarized. I wonder if the instructions to the Sellers are not specific enough (?) :confused3
I don't think TCS was stalling at that point because our sales agent got involved by contacting the Sellers and encouraging them to get the corrected Deed back to TCS asap. I don't know if TCS took extra time before that, tho.
I'm really pleased with The Timeshare Store and our agent (Jason) - he really kept things rolling as much as possible and I couldn't have asked for better communication from him.
