How long to activate AP's??

I am thinking of buying an AP for this trip, to get an AP code on one of our rooms.

If for some reason I buy the AP and get the voucher and we decide not to go, how long do I have to activate the voucher? Is the voucher good forever?

There is currently no expiration date on AP vouchers. They can be activated years after purchase.

You can book the AP room without having an AP in hand. In fact, you don't have to show it til you check in. So if you might cancel, just wait before you buy the AP.
