How long should I expect to wait?

Not having monitored the market, I was just wondering how long I should expect to wait before seeing a contract that suits my needs appear on the resale market? I'm looking for a 150 pointer at VWL with a Dec use year, if that makes any difference.

If you bought through resale, how long did you have to wait before your contract came on the resale market?

I'll provide the abridged version...

When we decided to call the agency we bought through, it took less than 5 minutes to find the "right" contract.

We wanted an October Use Year at SSR with 120 Points. Our agent had access to a contract yet to be posted on the agency's website...and the rest, they say, is history...

VWL is the smallest resort. That should mean that there would be fewer resales. Your wait could be one day or 301 days.

It's unlikely to be 301 days. I wouldn't wait that long for very many things.

Give DVC a call and get on the waitlist for that contract. I believe the minimum is now 160 points, but even though it is sold out, you may be able to get that contract from DVC/

Good idea. I may do that if it comes down to it. That, or buy a smaller contract and add on. Or buy a slightly larger contract. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to that.
