How long of a walk is it...

...from Reedy Creek Fire Station to the Boardwalk? Has anyone done this? We're thinking of taking a cab or Uber from the Poly to Reedy Creek, then after the tour walking from Reedy Creek to the ESPN Club for lunch, then to Epcot. I wouldn't be concerned, but it will be at the end of August and it will be hot!

You can save some distance by cutting through the parking lots and the Boardwalk Inn Resort.

It's Disney's fire department . They offer free tours of the station near the Boardwalk on weekdays . Here is a link to their website. http://www.reedycreek.org/index.cfm?Section=1

I'm pretty sure there are no sidewalks at WDW so you can't really walk along the roadways. So just because it's a mile by road doesn't mean there's any way to walk there. We tried walking from Poly to Wilderness Lodge and it was impossible due to the danger (walk on the road and you'll get hit by a car, and there's no sidewalk to walk on next to the road)

There aren't always sidewalks, but in this case there is one. You can see it clearly on the map I linked to in the second post.
