Not at all. That extra week will be so special for the two of you.
And as others have said, there is so much to do in central Florida using WDW as a base that you won't have to spend all five weeks in the parks.
5 weeks.. WOW! I might be in the minority here but that would be wayyy to much for me. I love Disney and all but I am good and have my fix after a week.
Great post! I'm jealous of your 15 days!I hear you, but we love WDW and it's so much more than an amusement park to us. The rides aren't even our favorite part of WDW.
We stayed 15 days I think last summer, met a family staying for a month and were so jealous. We wished we could do that and would if it wasn't for our pets.
Coming from the UK, not to mention OP is coming in the fall when the heat isn't excruciating like summer, I'd say hell yeah!
Why does everyone always leave out SeaWorld? It's a great park too! A Disney Cruise is a good idea to break up the middle of the trip though
Haha...so true!I don't know. I haven't been there long enough to find out yet. I have never stayed beyond wanting to stay more. Our shortest trip was 8 days and normal is 12 - 14. We typically are okay with leaving, but would love to stay. The longer trips allow us to visit at a more leisurely pace and absorb more atmosphere.
Wow..I always say the same thing -- especially during the holidays - we are Disney fanatics, like most here) ...
But, for our money NOTHING beats SW during the holidays ! The music and decorations ( and shows) are amazing !
Wow..
I didn't know that. That's something I'd like to check out sometime!
This. Some people think that they will love Disney and simply do not. No way to be sure until you are there. But if you love it and are used to long vacations, 5 weeks would not be too long given the things to do in the area. Between Orlando , Cocoa Beach and Tampa/St. Pete there is enough to do to keep most people busy for months. But I would not do WDW for 5 weeks straight without mixing in some of these other things. We spent about 9 weeks in the area last year. Of that time, we spent maybe 40 days in WDW parks, spread out.The hard part about this is you’ve never been. You may find it magical the entire time. You may really enjoy the first few weeks, then find you’ve done everything, and are having a hard time not getting bored. You may show up and find it’s no where near the hype, and you are good to go after a few days.
The good news is that if you tire of Disney or the Orlando area there is a ton to do in Florida and the south. With a few extra weeks you can head to Key West, Miami, Naples, the Everglades...or north to Savannah, the beach at Hilton Head, Atlanta, or even New Orleans. There is nature and cities and history.
As for personally, I live an hour outside of Orlando and spent my 5 week vacation last year in Scotland and London.
