(i need to stop thinking about this stuff  )

so, say i want to add-on some more OKW points. i keep hearing people talk about how they call their guide to get on a waitlist for add-ons at the sold out resorts, and it takes months... even years, to get called back.

how long is the waitlist really for OKW add-on points?

what if you just want a small add-on, like 100pts or smaller?

is the wait shorter for that? or just as long?

We were on the June use year wait list for almost exactly one year. Our original request was for 30 points.

Also thinking of "joining" the list. We could really used another 53 points. This add on thing is as bad as the "foot" thing when we were into boating. Always wanted another foot or so.

Been on the wait list for OKW for March Use-Year since May 2002. Wanted only 55 pts, but I think I might want to change that to 155 if they will let me.:bounce: :bounce:

It is just 1 waitlist for OKW pts. We have a Sept use yr and were on the waiting list for 1 year.....and we were 3rd on the list the whole time. When they finally called about 4 months ago, we had just added on at VB, so we passed.

Also do remember, if they call you on OKW pts, you will pay the current price(now$84) if you add on.There is no MB's on OKW pts.

so does it seem like resale is the way to go if you want to add-on some OKW points sooner?

but, how often do small OKW add-ons show up in the resale market really?
don't you have to watch + wait just as long?
(it seems like after we bought our original small OKW contract, inventory has completely dried up for small resales.)

If you go with a small add-on resale, you will pay a bundle on the closing costs. We did one a few years ago and the price came out to what Disney points were selling directly. But we couldn't get OKW points from Disney at the time. So it could be a wash.

Recently I called and found that I was number 25 for a March use year for OKW points that I had supposedly been on for almost a year. When I asked to speak to the supervisor---I was  and suddenly no one was on the list for a Feb use year, except me. :) The bad news, however, is that the cost is $84 per point, and no MB, regardless of the amount of points that I wanted to buy. I decided to wait until I could buy a full contract, or else be satisfied with what I have.

We have an August use year @OKW. Recently completed our 2nd add on. We were waitlisted about 4 months. We got a phone call oneday completed the paperwork and it was a done deal!:) :)

Took me exactly one year for an add on for a November use year.
I only bought 53 points.

Opps, I checked the paperwork, Dec. 1 is when we get our points.
So, I waited on the wait list for this use year. I truly always thought it was Nov. Oh, well, we always have points when we need them. :)

I put ourselves on the OKW waitlist for 100pts, Feb use year this past week, and was told the VERY soonest I could hear anything is August, and that I am #25 of Feb points.

June use year, we put ourselves on the waitlist for a OKW add-on, no specific amount of points, in Jan 2003. No call yet.
