How long is the ride from port can. to MCO

Just wondering...on disembarkation day how long is the trip to the airport (MCO) ? We are taking DCL busses. Curious if we will have enough time to get to our 11:20 fAM flight??

The trip is about 50 minutes. The buses are there and waiting as soon as you get off the ship. Once one is full, it leaves and another pulls in behind it.

You should have enough time to make your flight, if the ship is on time. However, 11:20 is cutting it a little close. You'll want to eat early and leave the ship soon after it clears Customs, usually between 7:30 and 8:00am.

We're usually to the airport and through security by 10:00-10:15am, which would give you enough time for your flight. The process is quicker if you're flying one of the airlines which allows you to check your luggage at the port for the return flight. That way, you can bypass the main check-in at the airport and check in at your gate.

I am concerned now...our flights were booked through DCL air program. Will this make any difference???

I wouldn't worry about it. You should be fine. I just wanted to point out that you shouldn't wait around before getting off the ship. You can stay on until about 9:00am, but I wouldn't recommend doing that. If you eat breakfast early and are ready to go when the ship clears or shortly after, you will make it in plenty of time. Even when luggage check-in was suspended at the port (post 9/11), we were checked in and through security before 10:30am. This included waiting in a huge line at the Delta counter to check our luggage.

Since you booked your air with DCL, if the ship is late, they are responsible for changing your flight booking.

I'm sorry I made you concerned, I didn't mean to. Put it this way: In 4 cruises, we would have made an 11:20am flight each time with plenty of time to spare. We're usually to our gate before they've even started checking people in for our flight.

We walked off the ship at 7:30 AM. We got a porter in the terminal to handle our bags. We then checked our luggage with the US Air rep and boarded the bus. The bus pulled out around 8:10 and we were at the airport at 9:00. We got some breakfast and were sitting in our boarding area around 10.
