Just thinking about early entry to WWOHP. How long does the boat take and does it drop you right at IOA? Also, what time to they start running?

Thanks.

It depends on if there is a boat there when you get to the Dock.If a boat is just coming in it will take a few mins to dock, and then another few to load.Once the boat departs its about 7-10 mins.It drops you at the boat dock on city walk. You need to walk up the stairs and over the the gates of IOA.Honestly, a few times we saw a boat coming in and we walked the path and beat the boat.

Thanks. Where's the path and how long does the walk take?

Walk past the boat dock , you will see a sign that shows you which way the path to the themeparks is.It takes about 13 mins to walk.It is a beautiful walk along the waterway. It brings you out in Citywalk right at the Studios entrance. You walk past that along the walkway to IOA

Although we like the boats, we find it is usually faster (particularly for Early Entry) to walk. The pathways are really well landscaped and it is a nice enjoyable walk that takes 10-15 minutes. I don't know if it runs that early in the morning, but they also have surrey bikes with a driver that take three people on the path for free (plus tip).

As for the times boats begin to run, I believe they start running at 7:30am and stop running at about 2:30am.

By the way, I heard (and saw on a YouTube video) that they were testing narration (or "spiels") for the boats traveling to/from PBH like the ones for the monorails at Disney. Is this true?

the last boats out from city walk dock to the hotels is at 2:00 am.
if you miss that boat, you'll have to walk back to the hotel in the dark.

last October, the boats were running at 7:00 am from rph the dates i was there.

Thanks all. If the boats don't start running until 7:30 I think we'll walk it!

There's also a bus that runs between Citywalk and the three hotels. The Citywalk dropoff location is between USF and HRH.

I only mention this because a few years ago, after leaving HHNs, the last boat back to PBH left the dock as I was approaching. I was not looking forward to the walk back to the PBH, after spending all day and night at Universal. Fortunately, I saw the bus waiting at the drop-off, and I was able to take it back to PBH instead of walking. I was very relieved!
