IMO the only point in charging to the MB is convenience. If they charge it to the card I have on file with disney through the app directly there is nothing more convenient about using a MB. in fact it adds an extra step.

I asked because we're paying for our eating and shopping with money already accumulated on a Disney gift card. I don't plan to spend "real" money or charge anything to a credit card if I can help it while on Disney property. We'll charge to the room via the Magic Band and then I'll pay the charges off with the gift card each evening.

We were at WDW Nov 28 - Dec 5. We did not use it at Satu’li Canteen as we had allergies but I sure would have if we could have. The service was quick though and we only waited about 10 mins in line. We enjoyed having a healthy salad bowl. I DID use it a few times rolleyes for Dole whips and it saved a big line so that was good. I also used it at Columbia Harbour House and I was the only one at the Pre-order window. In all cases, I used my magic band to pay.

I'd say 20-30 minutes is plenty of time.

This worked amazingly at Columbia Harbor House on a busy Saturday. I'd say there were close to 60 people in line. We hit I'm here when we were walking over, went upstairs and grabbed a table, and minutes later the food was ready. Also used it at Flame Tree and Pandora QS. Both worked just as well.

Yes, I for sure think so. We hit the "Im here" button as we walk over, its usually 5-10 minutes for food to be ready. Most places we timed it where we literally walked in and up to the counter as they set it out, it was awesome! So timing is all in how long it takes you to eat!
We sat longer at CHH because we needed the break, but at AK we picked up Flame Tree and put away the tray and gave each kid their little paper plate with their food and ate as we walked over to Dinoland, so no time at all!

Haha we used it for Dole Whips too! I ordered while on the Magic Carpet ride with my kids, got off, went to window, got my dole whip, skipped the line! Felt like a winner
