Thinking about going on the eurotunnel - but how long is the drive from calais to Disneyland Paris...????? are we talking 2hrs, 3hrs 4-5hrs????? 2 adults and 3 kids (age 5, 2 & 1) only so long they can sit in a car for!!!!!!

thanks
Nathalie

I tend to average around 3 hours.

This includes a 15 minute stop and doing 85mph all the way (this is actual as the satnav describes not the car as thats thinking I'm doing about 95)

Only spot of trafic I've ever seen is around CDG airport.

French motorways are a dream just click cruise control on and relax.

It's around 3 hours and a very easy drive if you go by autoroute (I think the tolls are around 18 Euros-ish). DS 4 did it no problem, although did do unintentional detour at CDG!! Get a good map - not the rubbish freebie I've got! I would recommend this mode of transport, although I've only got 1 kid, not 3. Portable DVDs highly recommended!!!

Portable DVD was one of the best purchases we made. Next to that was the doubler and 3 headphones sets they got for Christmas this year :)

Rest stops in France are much better than they are in this country. Always have toilets, many have picnic area, childrens play area and a cafe/restaurant. So if you need to stop because your troops need a break they are quite nice to refresh your batteries ;)

thanks again for you replys...so in order to get the most out of our 2nts, 3 day stay, what time crossing would you go for...??

thanks
Nat

p.s we have portable DVD player - so will def use that...

I'd go for as early a crossing that is humanly possible. Even if your rooms are not ready you will be able to leave the car at the hotel. Get your tickets and go to the park and can come back later to get settled into your room.

Because of the distance we have to drive to get to feery port we have often tried to get a cheap travel lodge deal and stay the night before. Then you can get a really early ferry and be at the park by lunch-time :)

Yes i'd agree with the approx 3 hours & definately buy a good map. We visit France regularly & I swear by Michelin maps not cheap but the best IMHO.

If you visit the english web-site it will route plan for you.
