Hello, helpful DISers! I've been lurking for a while, but this is my first-ever post. Exciting! :yay:

Anyway...I'm wondering how long it takes to have a "quick" TS lunch in the parks. Specifically, at the Plaza in MK and Le Cellier in Epcot. My mom and I are going to be there in late April (I can't wait -- I haven't been to WDW in five long years!!!), and I made all our ADRs already, but now I'm wondering if TS lunches will cut into our park time too much.

We're not on the dining plan, and we'd probably just have a main course -- no appetizers or desserts for us (we'll have too many yummy dinners to save room for!). Could it be done in under an hour?

Any input from all you experts would be much appreciated. Thanks! :wave2:

I believe you and your mom will be able to enjoy your lunch for about an hour. Let your server knows that you are in a time crunch, so s/he may serve you accordingly. On the other hand, I have read that patrons hate being rushed with their meals too.

It's possible that it will take a significant chunk of time, even on a "slow" park day because Le Cellier is small & popular. The Plaza should be o.k. - not nearly as popular, and has more tables. To get waited on & eat, should be just one hour maximum time once you sit down...but that's if you have no wait time. If you have an early lunch seating, you'll probably not have to wait too long, but if your ADR time is 12:30 or after, you may have a long wait. For example, in January during a very slow week the lines at Coral Reef/Epcot were crazy long by about 1:00 for lunch (mid-week)

We prefer to use counter service for lunch since that gives a lot more flexibility during our touring time in the parks - we hit the parks at rope-drop & go like crazy through the morning. Then a nice sit-down dinner at table service to relax & unwind...that seems to take less out of the "active" touring time...then have a leisurely evening.
