How long in Tomorrow Land?

We will be at Disneyland for 2 days, Oct 14 (Wed) and Oct 15 (Thurs). My girls are 3.5 and turning 6. I want to make an appointment for the princess makeovers on Thursday after we do Tomorrowland but not sure how long I should plan on being in the land... We will be there at opening and go straight there, we want to go on.

Oh, and while you are here if you want to take a peek at my general schedule... the trip is for magic and memories not to get on all the rides so we will just take it as it comes using the schedule as a general guideline. My in-laws are coming also so adults will have time to sneak away at any time to ride what the girls don't want to do. My 3.5 year old is the braver one but just 40.25" with her tallest shoes so not sure if she will get on the big rides.

Wednesday: DL 9-9, DCA 10-6

9AM Fantasy Land - the girls are not fans of anything "scary" so we will probably skip the dark rides.
10AM Toontown
Then ride the train around, do Spash Mountain, and head to hotel.

Back at the park around 3:30 or 4 and do the left side of the park until haloween fireworks at around 8:45

Thursday: DL 9-11, DCA 10-5

9AM - Tomorrowland
11? - BBB for Princess makeover
maybe monorail around then back to hotel. Get fastpasses for Soarin.

3:30-4 arrive at DCA

Bugs Life

5:30 have reservations at Rainforest Cafe

7:00 back to DL if girls aren't totally spent, otherwise girls to hotel and adults out to play until 11.

We don't have much time at DCA and I know my 6 yr old would love the Animation Building, maybe we will skip hotel nap time and have more time here in the afternoon? If we do that we will try to catch Aladdin at 1:50.

DL opens at 9 on that morning (we'll be there the same week ) so I would say to schedule your reservation for noon. Even though it shouldn't be too crowded and you are arriving early in the morning you should plan on some "extra time". For example, my boys love to go on Buzz lightyear 3 times in a row if there is a short line, & by the time you take pictures, go to the restrooms and grab a snack you are looking at 2 hours at the least.

DD and I will be there those days as well. We usually start with Buzz, then get a fastpass to come back again later. We then do Astro Orbiter, Autopia and Star Tours. As we've only done Nemo once(in the pouring rain so no waiting), I'm not sure when would be the best time for you to fit that in. I'm guessing 2-3 hours for Tomorrowland, depending on the Nemo line.

I would recommend that someone in your party go over and get fastpasses for Splash Mountain while the rest are in Fantasyland/Toontown. That would save you a long wait for Splash. Also since you will be right in that area, I think the girls would like the Winnie the Pooh ride.

Unfortunately, Thursday is a MM day. Therefore, Buzz, Astro Orbitor (maybe) and definitely Nemo will have lines already when you enter the park. Realistically, I'd predict a full 3 hours to see all of those attractions (you should use FP on Buzz, maybe Autopia).

Rough estimates:
FNSV (30min line, 15 min ride)
Astro Orbitor (20min line, 5 min ride)
Star Tours (20 min line, 5 min ride)
Autopia (15 min line, 5-10 min ride)
Buzz (5 min line w/ FP, 5 min ride)

Add walking time and 5 minutes give or take, you have about 2 1/2 hours.

In my opinon, switch the days around a bit. Wednesday will be a mickey's toontown early opening so by the time you get in there it may already be busy.

I am always afraid of adding nemo into any set sch. The wait always seems to be so long. 30-60 min

But I wouldn't go to Fantasyland on Thursday because that's a MM day. I don't think Toontown is majorly busy after a MTTMM day, but I'm not entirely sure.

We just got back a few weeks ago . . . our experience with Tomorrowland was that my DS3 and DS10 just wanted to do laps on Buzz. They couldn't get enough. So their recommendation is 7 hours in Tomorrowland

If you have never seen Aladdin before you should consider making room for it. Totally worth it, specially considering your girls ages, it's a great show.

I think you have a good plan going! I would also allow 3 hours just to be safe.

Another thought- if you think your girls will be too scared of dark rides you might want to reconsider Nemo subs. My 3 year old was terrified on that ride because it is dark and there are all the scary parts from the movie represented- sharks, glowing fish thing, even a volcano. Every kid reacts differently, but it is more intense than some of the dark rides IMO. Also Tough to be a Bug- VERY SCARY. Dark with bugs comming at you in 3D, stuff pokeing you in your chair, loud, smoke, etc. You might want to do that for the adults and take the smaller ones to Aladdin, or Animation bldg since you thought they would enjoy those. I hope you have a magical trip!

4) Pirate's Lair (formerly Tom Sawyer Island) closes at dusk. Not sure when dusk is in mid-October, but I'd plan on getting there earlier.

1) FP for Space first!!!! Then Buzz if they are running (like BTMRR, they might not be running) and you really want a Buzz FP.

2) 1 hour for A Bug's Land is not very much time at all. Plus if there's a 1:50 Aladdin show, you won't get to A Bug's Land until like 3. It's a long show and the exit scene can be pretty chaotic.

3) Is it possible to push back your Rainforest Cafe dinner to after 6 so that you are in DCA until it closes? Then you could have more time for A Bug's Land, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, and you could probably ride Toy Story Midway Mania too! (amazing ride)

Lets see, Dumbo will have to be first unfortunately, even if that means missing Peter Pan. My soon to be 6 year old is just *slightly* elephant obsessed.

FP order will be changed!

We will do Tom Sawyer first thing after rest time then, it starts to get dark up here in Central Cali around 7-7:30 in October

Thurs:
Space FP are for adults to go later in the day so not as worried about those.

DCA closes at 5. I guess I'll give the kids the choice of bugs land or the trail after Aladdin.

I wish we had a third day!
