How long in Epcot?

I know this question is subjective, but I am looking for a general idea. Last year we only allowed ourselves one day at Epcot, and we felt we didn't really get to enjoy it much. So this year we are doing two days, one in the world showcase, and one doing the rest. How long do you give yourself to tour the world showcase? My kids are 4 and 6, and we plan on shopping in each country, maybe getting a snack here and there, and meeting some characters, then dinner at Akershus. We planned on sleeping in and just getting there when the World showcase opens, and I am trying to plan what time to make the Akershus ressie. If we arrive at world showcase at 11, Do you think we would have the world covered by 5, have dinner then leave?

I think that would be enough time. That gives you over 30 minutes in each country, give or take. I would start in Canada and work around counter clockwise. If you are running short on time, you can easily poke around Norway and Mexico after dinner.

And if your abe extra time, waiting for dinner, I think Mexico is a great place to kill time with shopping and the ride. ( I forget the name!)

We like to split Epcot into 2 days. EMH if possible for rides and education, future world, techy part. normally done by early afternoon, break at resort, head to different park for evening fun and dinner.

Then world show case for different day. sleep in head over on low crowd day. dinner, watch fireworks.

We spend 2 whole days at Epcot, minimum. The mornings are spent in FW, doing all of the rides and shows, and exploring Innoventions. The afternoons and evenings are for World Showcase. Its a lot more than just food, booze and shopping. We watch the movies and do the fiesta tour in Mexico. But the best part of WS, to us, is the live entertainment in almost every pavilion. And then there is the time spent doing Agent P. One day for WS would never be sufficient to see them all.

I think that's enough time. We typically do two days also but do Future World + one side of World Showcase one day and then Future World + the other side the other. Total we spent about eight or nine hours in World Showcase so you should have enough time to explore. Obviously you're not going to be able to do/see everything in World Showcase in one day but hey, that's what future trips are for :)!

2 Days minimum for you.
For us, it's a totally different story, as we are EPCOT enthusiasts and on our last trip this past fall, spent pretty much 5 of the 6 nights we were there in EPCOT (mostly in World Showcase). And a few mornings in FW. :cool2: Whatever you decide is right for your group, I hope you enjoy and have a fun time! :goodvibes

We're just back and spent 2 days in Epcot and still didn't get to see it all! We missed some of the countries in the World Showcase.. I guess we'll have to see them next time. Epcot is definitely a 2-day (minimum) park!

We like doing this too. It works out well with the way they've tiered Fast Passes. One day you can do Soarin' on FP, check out that side of FW and WS, and the next day you can do TT on FP and the respective side of FW/WS.

Thanks guys, we could definitely stay after dinner as well, just trying to get an idea of how long it will take us!

We do two days devoted to touring--one at FW, one at WS. We try to line up our FW day with a.m. EMH, and we're typically done by 2 or 3 in the afternoon. On our WS day we show up at 11a.m. (this allows for a pleasant, sleep-in morning with no rush) and stay until Illuminations is done. That being said, we can also be found at WS on numerous evenings for dinner.
