How long have you kept yours on?

Geez, that's something I never even Thought to be paranoid about.

My Mickey Sorcerer stayed on for months/maybe years, although I myself managed to yank it off the antenna a few times while navigating past a small tree and around another car getting out of the driveway. In fact, one day, it flipped off, rolled down the hill and into the storm drain. My girls were just beside themselves that Mickey was "down there." :guilty: My dad, who was visiting at the time went into the kitchen and got a kebob skewer. He then taped that to a yardstick and within 2 minutes--voila, there was Mickey. A little muddy and with a few skewer holes in him :rotfl2: but really none the worse for wear!!

Our Incredibles topper has faded to the point of being a shame; I'll have to find a good replacement for that next month in WDW.

Our new Prius has a Jack Skellington. . .I'd hate to lose that before the end of October!!

Well, I've got other things to worry about--like ordering park tix!!--I can't believe people steal Mickey toppers--sheeez, where's the magic in that?

My Chevy Venture has one of those internal antennas on the front window so nothing to put one of the ears on :-( It really makes me sad, i'd have so much fun with them!

Ours have never been taken! But thanks for reminding me it's time to switch to Ghost Mickey! ::MickeyMo

I switch mine every month or so. Never have been stolen (knock on wood). I got my mom a sparkly silver Mickey and that one was stolen, so I replaced it with Eeyore, who is still hangin' in there! :flower:

I can't believe some people would steal those! How mean-spirited!

Mine stay on, but that's because they're on bamboo skewers INSIDE the car.

Suzanne

I still have my pirate one! I've had it since someone on the DIS was nice enough to send it to me (yes, I paid for it), last year(?)
I guess no one likes Pirates but me!!

Gonna get a gold Mickey ear one when I am there in Dec.

Lisa

I just changed mine again to the Mickey baseball antenna topper.
I keep one on all year. I have about 25 to choose from.

I have the Golden Ears on now - but it's time to put on the Mickey-o-lantern! My sister bought me a pack that has 6 different season Mickeys. I have several Fantasmic Mickeys, being prepared for getting ripped off. Since I work at a HS, I thought I'd be losing them quite often, thankfully, no though!

My car has had one on for a few yrs now - never had one stolen. Took the Golden ears off last week. Right now Pumpkin Mickey is on there. Next month it will be Pilgrim Mickey then Santa Mickey (I'll rotate 2) then snowman Mickey then

I had a purple mickey head on my van for a few months until DH decided to do me a favor and take my van through the car wash. He came home and told me he got the van washed. First thing I asked was if he took Mickey off the antenna. Nope.

I've only had one stolen and that was my Stars and Stripes Mickey and that happened after 9/11. I have about 2 dozen antenna toppers. I just picked up the cutest new Christmas Mickey topper in WDW last week. It is red and white striped and looks like a Christmas ornament.

We went to DL this spring when DS graduated from MCRD. I got a black Mickey that said DL. DH got a POTC Mickey. Both came up missing at the same time. It had to be someone in our neighborhood. Home is the only place our vehicles are together. I was disappointed b/c we will probably never go back to DL.

I have never had one stolen. I also change mine with the seasons. Right now I have a ghost, I also have the pumpkin, so I'll probably switch next week. Then I have the Thanksgiving one and then Christmas. After christmas I'll go patriotic until Valentines when the oink one goes on, then the easter bunny, then back to patriotic, after the 4th my "summer" one goes on...a lime green Lilo and Stitch one. (looks tropical)

Since both DH and I have the kind of antenna's that are built into the window we were bummed at first. Then he found these small fake cellular antenna's at Radio Shack. He put two in each car (in the back windows). Now we can swap out our antenna toppers whenever we want and they don't get bothered by vandals or the weather.

I had a Minnie on my minivan until she started to fall apart...about 3 years. I replaced it with a plain Mickey that lasted maybe a month before disappearing. We put Santa Mickey on for our Christmas 2003 trip to the world and he was stolen from the WL parking lot. DH is paranoid now and won't let me put our golden ears Mickey on. We currently have football Mickey on, but DH removes it constantly...especially at football games.

I have never had one missing and i have had them on my car for about 3-4 years, my dd got me one year for Christmas a goofy that hangs on your antenna and he's kinda dry rotted but still hanging on, it's funny to see people's reaction to seeing goofy ................... :confused3 :rotfl2: right now ive got the new cutie minnie, dh has nightmare before Christmas on his car(he took off the cubs one)! because dd got it for him, i also have a collection of these things! they are so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :earseek: :earboy2:

We've lost three Mickey heads. One was my 50th anniversary gold ear Mickey had it for about 2 months on my car. One was a Mickey head with a Sorcerer hat, my husband had that for 3 years when it got taken. And the last one was just a Sorcerer's hat, I had it on my car less than 24 hours when it was stolen. We now take ours off the car in the two places they have been taken.

I have to say though that 3 out of how many we have is pretty low. Right now dh has a Ghost Mickey and I have a Pumpkin Mickey.

Mine has been on since February but I have a huge fear of losing it. When we go in December I plan on getting lots of extras. The one I have now is the Cruise Line one though, I can't really replace that one until we go on another cruise...

Rachie - what do they call your condition, Mickeyantennalosaphobia? :teeth:
